Welcome Sunshine

June 26, 2011

After days of rains and floods, the sun shines today… hopefully, the whole day. However, we are still trapped in Bulacan as flood in the subdivision’s entrance is still knee-deep. Yes, that is the only way in and out of this area. Bummer.

What have we been doing these past three days? Nightly videoke sessions and series marathon of The Legend of the Seeker. I’m also playing mmorpg every now and then. Hopefully by tomorrow the street will be passable and will be able to get out of this place.

No worries though, I’m enjoying my time here. ^^

The Fun Of Interaction

May 21, 2011

Summer is about to end here in the Philippines and hopefully, kids had a great vacation packed with outdoor activities. Hopefully, children didn’t spent their entire vacation sitting in front of the television or playing video games. There is a lot of fun doing outdoor activities and interacting with other kids.

I miss the days where we can sit in front of an outdoor fire pit under the great big sky at night exchanging stories. Such moment not only widens our knowledge learning other people’s experiences but it also create a certain bond among each other. Such moments are truly more precious and valuable than playing all by ourselves inside our home.

Personal Movie House

February 5, 2011

If I’ll be given the chance to purchase one expensive piece of technology this year, I’ll probably go for high definition television… something that goes more than 30 inches will be nice.

Our television unit has been with us for more than ten years already and though it is still functional, we are now experiencing some occasional problems, specifically with it’s power switch. Also, technology have gone far more advance since then in terms of resolutions and energy efficiency. Wouldn’t it be nice to see your favorite movies on a big HDTV unit? Sit back, relax, and watch while eating pop corn. That will surely come close to watching movies in the cinema house.

Cat or Dog

January 19, 2011

I have been wanting to have a pet for quite some time now. This feeling started when I learned of a cat up for adoption and when I have decided to finally take him in, some else have already took him.

Right now I am still undecided if it will be a cat or dog and what breed it will be. I am still a little hesitant if I’ll be able to live up to the responsibility of owning one. Specifically, toilet training them. I would definitely need a cat or dog training aids to make things easier for me.

Wish me luck! ^^

Bag Quest

January 16, 2011

I have long been wanting to replace my backpack. It is a little worn-out already and the OC in me cringes at seeing its loose stitches. Sadly, finding a replacement is not that easy. Do you also experience the same thing? Having a hard time finding one when you need it and seeing a lot when you are not looking for one?

My ideal bag should be a backpack that is unique and unconventional. Otherwise, it should at least be functional and durable. If I find even a wrestling backpack that meet all these, then I’ll gladly get one for myself. Wrestler or not.

Between Cooking and Washing

January 15, 2011

We had home cooked food today for lunch. We had this rice-grain-shaped pasta that my sister sent from Greece. It was cooked like paella. As much as I want to learn how to cook, I really do not have the will to master the task. The only thing I can do is fry and boil. That’s it. So in order for me and others to enjoy a hearty meal, I leave cooking to those who are more capable. I am very much happy settling for a job in the kitchen sink. That is my part in this dining orchestra.

Snail Mails For Christmas

January 3, 2011

One of the benefit of the internet is that it easily bridge gaps in the most affordable way. Gone are the days of long distance phone calls and metered posts. Anyone could easily send out an electronic greeting card or do a video call to their relatives abroad.

Despite the convenience, I think I still prefer to receive greetings from the mail. It is touching to think that some went out of their way and was “inconvenienced” just to show that you were remembered. Though I have not received any holiday cards this advent, I was able to send out some for my relatives and a few friends. I just hope that the cards reached them in time.

It’s Cold Outside

December 26, 2010

As much as I want to wake up early and do some jogs, I am having a hard time doing it. The weather is so nice that I tend to choose taking more sleep than hitting the road. I may not have a bed as cozy as pine beds but it really does not matter.

Crossing my fingers that I’ll be able to jog this week. I think I also need it to relieve me from some emotional stress. Hopefully by 2011, I can do it more consistently. Planning to achieve 500km for next year. Wish me luck!

December Flakes

December 19, 2010

Amidst the jolly atmosphere of December, there is one thing that I am not happy about it: dry skin. My specific problem areas are those around my nose and the middle of my brows. It really becomes flaky especially after taking a bath.

So I sought for the best facial moisturizing soap in town and thankfully, I found one that works for my skin. Taking my action further, I might also read some therapores reviews as some say that they can cleanse and purify the skin.

I am not vain. I just think that it is important that a person should be presentable in front of other people. It is our responsibility to ourselves.

Impressions On Prints

December 16, 2010

I needed to print some copies the other day and since our home printer is out of ink, I decided to head out to find a nearest computer shop. I went to one with a popular network of rental shops but I was disappointed with the outcome. The copies looked like it was photocopied. After I left, I saw the shop personnel shaking the printer’s cartridge. I was pissed.

With a number of printer brands out in the market, it is important to buy one that is reliable. You can choose hp printers or other popular brands if someone you know recommends them. Printouts give an impression. Make sure that it says “excellent.”
