ISNC Advisory 2008-01
January 12, 2008
Yesterday, my site had been down for almost 7 hours due to CPU excess usage. It looks like I’ve had too many scripts running on my sites.
So today, I decided to trim it down to the basics, disabling the following features:
- You will no longer receive comment email responses from me. Should you desire to follow the conversation in the comments area, please subscribe to the comments or visit back.
- Only the part of my post before the ‘more’ tag will be available in the feed. To read the full post, you now need to visit the site.
- Word verification for comments are now removed.
- Footnotes are now disabled.
Sorry for any inconvenience that these changes might bring you. I’m looking forward to restoring them as soon as things get settled. Also, I’m considering transferring to a better webhost and would appreciate any feedback or advice you can give me. Thanks. ![]()

[1] Since Automattic have bought Gravatar, self hosted WordPress blogs can easily activate it just by adding this code before the comment_text() call in their blog’s comment loop. I Set No Corner is now Gravatar enabled.
[2] Add me in Twitter and be notified whenever I publish new posts in any of my three blogs. This is made possible by Twitter Feed. Not convinced that Twitter can work for you? Head on to ProBlogger and discover why Twitter isn’t a waste of time.

05/30/07 - We were able to finish the transfer earlier than expected. All systems go! Also, please note that my URL is now www.ironnie.com. Updating your links will be greatly appreciated. Comment to your heart’s content!
05/29/07 - Looks like I won’t go offline after all and will be blogging hopefully by tomorrow.
