Anniversaries are one of those occasions that most people probably want to celebrate. Good times are definitely worth remembering especially if it is something as significant as weddings, engagements, or even the lost of a special person.

Celebrations can either be intimate with only a very few friends or it can also be grand complete with a personalized gifts for her anniversary; but both celebrations are a tribute to something significant in the life of the celebrant.

If you get a chance to attend such occasions, make sure to arrive with a open heart and an open mind. For such celebration doesn’t only benefit the celebrants but the attenders as well. We are reminded of the value of life.

“Health is Wealth”, and more Filipinos are realizing the truth behind this popular saying as the dengue epidemic is sweeping the country. We even hear of hospitals extending room to covered basketball courts just to accommodate patients. This sad state of our government hospitals is just one side of the story. Families of patients are also distressed on where to find money for their loved ones treatment.

This is the sad story of our country’s health care system. Of course dengue is just one disease. There are far worst sickness that requires tests like CT Scan, ekg, and MRI. Add to that the medication and hospitalization expenses and you’ll soon find yourself exhausting your wealth. Sadly, the masses of this country are not wealthy at all.

The recent credit downgrade rating of the U.S. has really affected economies in Asia. I have been hearing how the Philippines Stock Exchange suffered lost for a number of days. Hopefully, we can readily recover soon as this will surely affect several industries in the country.

Insurance industry will feel the effect of the incident too. Unlike with car insurance which is required by law, accident and life insurance might need to step up to get more clients. Though people may realize the benefits of insurances, they will definitely prioritize the now before the future.

Good thing if you still have some money to spare, go to www.wholesaleinsurance.net and assess the plan that best suits you.

Though the Philippines have a Magna Carta for Disabled Persons, the implementation of it seems to be just for compliance’s sake and not really as a genuine concern for the welfare of the disabled persons. This seems to be especially true when it comes to accessibility of facilities.

Yes there are public restrooms and ramps in malls and restaurants for their use but what is really funny is that the streets, which is owned by the government who enacted the law, is without the said ramps. I have seen some sidewalks with such feature but they are not entirely accessible all throughout the path.

Resorts should also provide swimming pool lifts. Sadly, I have yet to see such facility in any resorts I have been to. It seems that we have a long way to go as far as this law is concerned.

Petty as some questions can be, the ability to address their queries properly can have a significant impact in their lives. It can either build or destroy their confidence. The wise response is for us to be honest and encouraging. We need not know all the answers but we can help them discover it.

A strong earthquake, a tsunami, and a nuclear crisis are situations that no country ever dreams of experiencing. Sadly, all three struck Japan earlier this month. Photos that surfaced in the internet showed the world the extent of the damage that the country took and global relief efforts are now being organized.

It is often said that crisis shows one’s true character and that saying holds true for the Japanese people. In the midst of chaos, they showed that order lies in the character of the people. We see them lining up patiently in bus station and groceries, and people who chooses to stay in order to help evacuees. I can’t help but wish that such character was also molded to us Filipinos. A patriotism that translates in to action and not just a show of fashion.

It’s March and a lot of college students will soon be marching down the stage to receive their diploma. School ends, life as a professional begins. Congratulations guys and may you be successful and fulfilled in your career.

Sadly, not everyone lands in their dream jobs. The government have long been determined that there is a mismatch between the course students are taking and what the industry demands but no concrete action is really being taken to correct this. We are now seeing less tech jobs for tech graduates and the rest probably ends up as customer service representatives.

So consider it a blessing if your bachelor’s degree becomes your profession. Not everyone becomes that lucky.

There is a saying that goes that money can buy a good bed but not a good sleep. It simply teaches us that having a clear conscience is a better choice over acquiring ill gotten wealth. With way things are happening in the country, one can’t help but wonder if people attending Senate hearing on corruption in the Armed Forces of the Philippines are in a high dosage of sleeping pills.

Our country is in a disheartening stage. I cannot fathom how some people can plunder national funds considering that a number of families are unable to have three meals a day. Such callousness is unthinkable. Last Friday we celebrated the 25th year of EDSA Revolution. May we see a better people and a better nation in the coming years.

It is often said that too much of anything is not good. This also applies to weather conditions. May it be in extreme heat or extreme cold, you’ll definitely hear people complaining. That is why affluent family makes it a point to own devices that can set the environment to be just right. Enter the air conditioners, heaters, and dehumidifiers.

In tropical countries like the Philippines, air conditioners are a great relief when the temperature starts rising. Other countries value a good basement moisture and may deem dehumidifiers to be more important than the former. What ever the situation may be, we cannot help but make the necessary adjustments to make our condition to be more comfortable. Too much of everything is counter productive after all.
