Wasted Effort

July 17, 2010

I have not been running for two weeks now. I was down eith a flu for almost a week and I’m still suffering from colds today. Hopefully next week, I’ll get back to 100% of my health.

Those two weeks of absence is starting to show bad result in regards to my fitness. Though my weight is not increasing, I noticed that my waist measurement is growing. This could have been avoided if only I know of the best fat burning supplement which I could have taken when I was down with sickness. It would have compensate my lack of running. Anyway, it’s all done. The best that I can do is to return to my usual fitness plan when things get better.

Dark Room

July 10, 2010

I noticed that I have this thing against strong light. Driving at night is harder for me because of how the approaching vehicles’ headlights affect me. Also, being seated on a dentist’s chair under the lamp will more frequently than not cause me headache. Lastly, I make it a point to lessen light in my room by installing blinds and cellular shades.

I like to sleep in total darkness. If shutting of the tiniest speck of light is impossible, I wear an eye mask. I do not know how much of the population is like this but I find myself a little on the extreme at times.

How about you, how do you like light in your room?

Print Jobs

July 10, 2010

I stopped by at SM this afternoon to have some photos developed… err, printed. I decided to go for Tronix since the other film centers usually requires an hour or a half to processes your order. The former on the other hand immediately does the job with their printers. Their units are a lot bigger than a epson receipt printer. I am just not sure if that whole cabinet size unit is just a shelf for multiple printers or just one printer. Anyway, they had the job done and it saved me time.

Their shop is popular to those who wants photos taken by their cellphone cameras printed. Just transfer the photo via bluetooth, wait for the job to be done, and that’s it!

Body Pains from Bed Rest

July 10, 2010

One thing I hate about flu and bed rest is the body pain that goes with it. It makes me want to have a massage! But mom will definitely not agree with such idea. They believe that sick people should not have a massage. I’m just not sure if this have a medical basis. It probably does. But since I am not that sure, it is better to abstain from it than be sorry. So I did not took a bath as well. :D

Having a natural joint pain relief ointment accessible could have been a great help. It would have given me relief even for a while. I only resort to pain relief medicine unless the pain is really unbearable. I heard those tablets, when taken frequently, can damage your system.

Down For A Week

July 10, 2010

I was down because of sickness for almost a full work week. I am just thankful that it’s just because of flu and not because of some accident that enables one to claim disability insurance. Though this can be viewed as counter productive, there are a number of things that one can do while taking a bed rest.

Read. Though a lot of e-books can be downloaded these days, I suggest that you go read a real book. As I experienced, computer monitors stresses my eyes and only add up to me not feeling well.

Rest. Do take a rest. Rid your minds of worries since you cannot do anything about it for now. Trust the people in the office that they can get by without you.

Pray. Aside from the concerns of your loved ones, our country has a lot of prayer concerns as well if you have been tuning in the news lately.

Text. Inspire someone by texting uplifting quotes and connect without a friends you haven’t been chatting for a while.

Sometimes, it only takes creativity to make the most out of what you have.

Far From 700

June 30, 2010

A running shoe is said to be only good on its first 700km. After that, the support is already worn out and one needs to replace it with a new one. When I bought my pair, I thought that 700km is way to few and it will eventually mean buying two to three pairs a year! Well… that is not the case. I have been skipping my morning jogs for quite sometime now and if I manage to run, I only run a short distance. With the rate I’m going, I think my shoe will be sticking with me for at least a year. Hopefully before it reach 700km, I’ll be able to get hold of a shoebuy coupons.

Digging For Truth

June 6, 2010

What a day! One of the things that I hate is confrontation. I’m just not build for it. Witnessing one is not that easy as well especially when those involved are your loved ones. The truth is always hard to face but we have to sooner or later. It just pains me to see people dear to me hurting. I cannot bear the sight. I know that this night is just the start of more discussions in the family and I don’t know where to stand on the issue. I know that it is always right to stand for truth but how much truth are we willing to learn? I’ll be needing lots of wrinkle creams for this one.

Run and Rain

June 5, 2010

It seems the the rainy season is nearer than we thought. The weather has been cloud to rainy for the past few days. This was the reason why I skipped a week of training run. I find it hard to wake up earlier for a run with this kind of weather.

I am looking forward to doing a run under the rain but I don’t think I’ll be doing it that often. As the rainy season nears, I know that this will further disrupt my training. I’m checking out some apidexin reviews to see if it’ll be a good alternative to running as far as losing weight is concerned. But I guess I’ll stick to the latter as much as I can. Anyway, a storm usually only last up to a maximum of three days. I’ll just probably run on two consecutive days to compensate.

Missing Our Flowerhorn

May 28, 2010

I miss having a flowerhorn at home. The last time we had it, it only lasted for a year and half after suffering from gall bladder disease. I am now considering of acquiring another fish but I’m still undecided if I’ll still go for another flowerhorn or just get a number of tinier fishes that will fit in my 15-gallon tank. We sure need a nice therapeutic scene in the house.

However, mom advises that I delay such plans for now and I agree. Aside from the fact that electricity cost is insanely high these days, I have no time maintaining a tank. I’m also worried that because I am not able to attend to it, dad might overfeed them again with fish food.

It is probably best to save it for later. Having a tank in the house also spells responsibility.

Losing The Discipline

May 22, 2010

I told myself that I will be religiously observing my running schedule so as to ensure meeting my target weight but here I am finding myself skipping on jogging for a couple of days now. I tried setting my alarm only to turn it off because I feel that I still need to sleep. Aside from this, I have noticed that I am losing control on my eating habits. Thankfully, I am still maintaining my weight… for now.

I read about noxycut reviews that promises to replace body fats with muscles. You won’t be seeing your weight decrease because though you are losing fats, muscles starts to develop. With this process, you’ll have to trade your regular weighing scales for body fat scales in order to monitor your progress. I guess I’ll be taking that route once I hit my target weight.
