Are You Ready to Be Independent
December 11, 2009
Most people would want to have their own “bachelor’s pad.” A place where they could live freely alone. Away from the eyes of their parents, living the life they want. Such thought is really appealing but only those who are truly willful manages to translate such desire in to reality.
Independence is an enticing concept that one should seriously consider before moving out of their parent’s house. Are you ready for the responsibilities of living alone? Will you be able to pay for your rent, water, electricity, and food? Will you be getting a room for rent, a rent to own, or a pensacola condos? Are you ready to go home to an empty house after a long days work?
Are you ready to be independent?
Christmas List
December 11, 2009
Two more weeks left and I still haven’t done any Christmas gift shopping. We Filipinos are so in to Christmas that inspite of the recent calamities we have experienced, we still make it a point to share during this season. Gifts need not be expensive. The simple thought of being remembered is enough to warm anyone’s heart on this chilly season.
A little word of advice, no matter how many your godchildren are, which we are “obligated” to give presents, do not forget to give a little something for our moms who have gone beyond expected for us. Every gifts for her will be surely appreciated.
16 Days To Go
December 9, 2009
We are counting down the days before Christmas and with it, budgeting our finances. This is the season where one probably receives much finances from work but where expenses bloats up as well. But for most people, they don’t mind. Seeing the happy smiles from children’s faces and enjoying a happy family gathering are more rewarding than any amount of money.
However, may I advise you to keep a reasonable amount for yourself so that after the festivities, you still have some amount to treat yourself for all the year’s hard work. You can go shopping or spend time at the outer banks vacation rentals or simply go to the nearest bed and breakfast to enjoy a quite moment with yourself.
Towing Eases the Toiling
November 25, 2009
It really is a big hassle whenever one experience a problem on their automobile especially during transit. You not only have to sweat things out to fix it but you might also get stranded in an unfamiliar place or totally miss an important appointment.
That is why it is important to keep a towing service company’s number in hand. Some car insurance even have this as a special add-on service so you might want to check yours and keep their number on your mobile phone. If you own a camper and it does not cover such vehicle, better research for an rv towing service that you can contact in case of emergencies. It never hurts to prepare.
Disability Support
October 27, 2009
Having a disability not only impairs one’s physical activity but also his emotions. A disabled person may experience depression and self pity as a result of the injury. A supportive family member can help him overcome such emotions. However, there are times that the family gets dragged into depression as well especially if the disabled member is the bread winner. So it is important that they managed to get their acts together in order to overcome such crisis.
Filing for a social security disability will help the family financially. The Philippine SSS allows a prescriptive period of ten (10) years from the date of occurrence of disability in the filing of disability benefit claim. Just submit the requirements at the nearest SSS branch or representative office.
Tricky Calorie
October 27, 2009
Losing weight is a tricky business. It is even more trickier to people who are not that keen on getting out of their comfort zone. Weight loss requires that we sacrifice things that we have gotten used to for things that we may not find appealing.
People who are experiencing overweight problems may have developed an unhealthy lifestyle habit. Habits are hard to break. It takes a strong will power and determination to transform wishing for losing weight into actual goals. We may need to sacrifice a daily dose of our favorite calorie-infused comfort food and allot an hour of our time to do some calorie-burning activity.
Do not rely alone on best weight loss pills in the market. They may aid you in your goal but you have to sweat on it, literally. Shedding those weight involves two simple rules: less calorie in, more calorie out.
Bath Man?
October 26, 2009
Are you enjoying your bath time or is it an obligatory task in order to maintain a good hygiene?
Regardless if you are bathing daily or not, since I heard that people living in colder regions bathe less frequently compared with those living in tropical countries, I am interested to know the reasons why a person does or does not enjoy this activity.
Does the enjoyment comes from having soaps and shampoos that has nice lather, or in a roomy and comfortable bathroom? Will walk in tubs or a jacuzzi help do the trick or will you require a long free time to enjoy it?
Are you the kind of person that requires a lot or with or without such luxury, you have chosen to enjoy bathing?
Enjoy the Celebrations
October 26, 2009
The season of festivities is about to commence: Halloween barbecue parties, town fiesta, birthday celebrations, Christmas, and New Year. Though these are events that people on a diet are not looking forward to, parties need not be all about eating. Learn to enjoy the time that you’ll be spending with your friends because as one gets older, such time might become rarer. Grab a small plate, select foods that will suit your diet, get a reasonable amount, grab a drink, and enjoy chatting with your friends. Taking Fastin might do the trick to regulate your appetite if you are the kind of person that has a low will power.
Wat I’m saying is that things come with pros and cons and it is for you to decide on what side to concentrate on. Enjoy the holidays!
Prepare For Floods
October 23, 2009
The weather have become more fierce and unpredictable these days. Let me add stubborn as well. In the past months, the Philippines have seen two typhoon “refusing” to leave the country. Pepeng made three landfalls and Ramil decides to slwo down as if wanting to enjoy the view. Flooding has also worsen. Imagine seeing floods reaching the roof of houses? Sadly, such flooding brings with it a lot of diseases. Those who died of leptospirosis have already reached more than a hundred.
It is important that we prepare and stock up items to combat such diseases. Make sure to have rubbing alcohols and disinfectants available at home. Anti-fungal creams and acne treatment will also be helpful as well. If possible, wear boots when walking in the flood. Make every effort to keep yourself healthy these days.
Increasing Security
October 20, 2009
I guess the biggest headache that a system administrator can experience is encountering a breach of security. The extent of such situation may range from minimal and trivial inconveniences to outright compromise of sensitive information. Which ever is the case, end users will encounter downtime.
With this in mind, I think that it is very important that administrators should always be vigilant especially because system hackers are always trying to find ways to bypass securities placed. Taking up a course in MS in Information Security would definitely boost one’s effectivity as an administrator.
A Managerial or Technical concentration may include topics like Intrusion Detection, Response, and Recovery; Computer Forensics; Information Security Strategies and Risk Management; and Wireless Security.
