SEC Releases List of Firms Allowed to Sell New Plans

August 25, 2009

Times of crisis breeds more swindlers. That is the clear lesson we can learn as we constantly hear news on pre-need companies failing to live up to their part of the bargain. Insurance is an investment and like any other investment, one should carefully give a thorough check on a company’s background. Placing it in the hands of people who have no proof of integrity may become a great disaster.

The Securities and Exchange Commission have recently released a list of pre-need firms that are allowed to sell new plans in the Philippines. These days, aside from considering a company’s term insurance rates, check their reputation as well. If they are not on the list, they might be naughty.

Earn Online Without Needing To Create Posts

August 9, 2008

I ventured in to blog monetization last September 2007 and I am thankful for the amount I earned since then. Sadly, earning through paid posting have become difficult lately as opportunities became few. Also, aside from the need to spend time waiting for offers to be available, you first need to write a 100 word post in order to earn $5 to $10 on the average.

I consider it a blessing learning how my former officemate is earning online. It thrilled me more to know that he have managed to collect a gross of $2,000 in three months time without even maintaining a blog.

He referred me to one Paid-to-Click site and I signed up for it last July 13. That was four weeks ago and to date, I have earned a gross of $92 and I am expecting an $800 gross by September end.

How I did it? Read here.

P.S.
Take note of the bonus I’m offering at the end. :D

Stick To Your Budget

July 28, 2008

Times are tough, earn hard! Better yet, spend wisely and learn to budget your earnings.

Unlike in the corporate scenario where a budget software is needed to balance out and forecast financial standings, handling our personal finances can be as easy as 1-2-3.

1. Be mindful. There are a lot of small expenses that we overlook but if accounted together will make a significant impact in our finances.

2. Make a budget. List down how much you get from all your sources of income. This will serve as a visual reminder of how much you are capable of spending. Make sure that you will not overspend for the duration of your next income.

3. Build accountability. It is hard to follow this through alone. Make this a family commitment or ask your friend to remind you whenever he thinks that you are spending on unessentials.

I’m sure that maintaining a mind set that your gas tank is half full and not half empty will not ease off the pain of continuously increasing oil prices. • Avoid idling for a long time. Turn off the engine if you anticipate a lengthy wait.
  • Avoid carrying unnecessary items in your trunk. Extra weight decreases gas mileage.

Interested In Promo Products Bearing My URL?

June 13, 2008

Any company knows the value of good advertising. That is why most of them spend millions to promote their products or services to the public. The traditional way is to invest in trimedia ads which cost a hefty sum of money.

Often overlooked is the value of custom imprinted promotional products which not only leave a strong and lasting impression to customers but is also more useful and have a good brand mileage.

It is also more affordable that even bloggers can tap this medium in order to promote their own sites. Perhaps someday, I’ll be able to have my URL printed in roadster mugs, lunch sack, stack pens, and shirts and give it to some of my lucky readers assuming that they are interested. :D

June 9, 2008

While most people wait for their retirement, there are those who are blessed enough to need not work for their living. If I have such liberty, I would indulge in traveling to different places, capturing their culture in photos and find myself a reliable financial advisor.

If you have corporations, or if you are an institution, or an affluent individual, it is good to have a financial advisor you can rely on to guide you in investment management. An asset after all, when mismanaged, turns into liabilities.

With their current assets in banking, in custody, and in management, coupled with their nearly 120 years in personal wealth management, you can expect Northern Trust to deliver innovative investment management, asset and fund administration, fiduciary and banking solutions.

Do It Right This Time

May 1, 2008

A person’s trust is something that is hard to achieve yet very easily lost. At times, it only needs one single mistake on our part and we lose all our needed chance. Our word should be our bond. I guess this also applies in paying our dues as well.

I once heard a story of a credit card company who banned all applicants from a certain municipality because of bad experiences from their previous clients living in that area who fails to settle their credit. Our record of delinquencies might not only cause the disapproval of that much needed loan that we will be applying for in the future but will also affect other people that much needed financial help.

Are You Financially Independent?

March 15, 2008

Have you experienced rejections from your very first credit card applications only to receive a number of offers from other creditors after you had your first approved application?

The reason behind this is that credit investigation and assessment needs to be initially setup and is often paid by the very first credit card company who decides to take their chance with you.

Once available, other companies now has the reference and the confidence to issue to you their credit card. Often, possessing more than one of it results to credit card financial dependence especially with young professionals.
