Harris Interactive conducts a yearly poll to find out America’s most popular personalities in sports. Kobe Bryant topped the list last year among the male athletes but have now dropped to No. 3. A notch above him is Peyton Manning who plays quarterback for Indianapolis Colts. The most popular male athlete for this year is Derek Jeter of the Yankees.
On the other hand, four personalities who were previously listed in the top 10 have slipped off the chart: Brett Farve who was previously No. 4, Drew Brees who was at No. 9, No. 10 Dale Earnhardt Jr., and LeBron James after leaving Cleveland for Miami’s South Beach lost his No. 6 spot.

Harry Potter Ends

In less than a week, the final Potter installment will be out worldwide for fans to enjoy. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint. All three graced the series since the beginning.
Asked on what he thinks of the film, Daniel said:
“I cannot emphasize enough how far ahead this film is from any of the others. It’s amazing. I am so proud of this film and the way we have gone out in this film. We could just not have made a better version of this film. It’s staggeringly good and I’m a harsh critic of these films. I think people are gonna go crazy for it.”
As a remembrance, Daniel have kept two pairs of Potter spectacles. One from the first film and the other from the last.
AJ Perez Died at 18

Teen actor Antonello Joseph Sarte Perez, more famously known as AJ Perez, died earlier today after sustaining multiple head injuries in a car crash. AJ was on a van with his father, two road managers, an event marshal, and the driver. Everyone except AJ survived the accident.
Police report states that the driver of the rented van, Christopher Bautista, attempted to overtake from a trailer truck and was hit by an incoming Partas bus in McArthur Highway in Barangay San Julian, Tarlac.
AJ will be last seen in an episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya on April 30.

The yellow munching character have truly become iconic. It has served as an inspiration to several people, probably including world boxing champion Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao.
In more than 30 years of its existegame nce, creator Toru Iwatani reveals some facts about the game at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. The most interesting of these revelations includes:
1. That the game was originally developed with a goal of attracting female gamers in mind.
2. That each of the four ghost was programed to do specific actions: Pinky (pink ghost) and Inky (blue) seeks to position themselves in a fixed spot relative to Pac-Man’s; Clyde (orange) moves in random; and only Blinky (red) is the one programmed to pursue you.
3. Namco president wanted all ghosts to be of the same color, red; but Iwatani refused to do so and conducted a games tester survey that showed players wanted he colors as is.

Diana Ross, together with her five children and grandson, made an appearance on Oprah last Friday.
Diana Ross started her career in the 60s as the lead singer for Motown’s The Supremes. She left the group for a solo career in 1970 and have also ventured in films and Broadway. She have received multiple nominations and awards both as a singer and as an actress.
On the Oprah show, she performed again for the first time after four years. Billy Dee Williams, her co-star in the film “The Lady Sings The Blues”, was also invited in the show for a mini reunion with the star.
Diana Ross will be touring the Southern and Eastern U.S. from February 25 to March 20.

Among the essential elements of every event, having a good choice of music tops them all. Music affects the mood and atmosphere of any gathering and if utilized well, it will bring the desired party mood or solemn atmosphere.
Even grand sporting events have utilized music to encourage excitement and energy from viewers. Oddly enough, a survey conducted showed that the most played song in any sporting event in 2009-2010 is “We Will Rock You” by the Queen. A song written way back even before today’s professional artists were even born.

Despite what most believed to be a hands down win for Justin Bieber, Esperanza Spalding took home the award for Best New Artist for this year’s Grammy Awards. This win makes her the first jazz artist to receive the award.
Splading is a 26 year old native of Portland, Oregon and now have three albums under her belt and Chamber Music Society is the most popular among them. She have already performed with giants like Prince, Patti Austin, Joe Lovano, Fourplay, and fellow jazz bassist Stanley Clarke. President Barack Obama even hand-picked her to perform in the accompanying concert of the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize.
“I feel really lucky that I got to be acknowledged on this stage in front of so many people who hopefully will get to experience my music, and I got there by doing what’s really dear to my heart,” the singer said on a backstage interview.
Taylor Swift and Sam Concepcion Together

Taylor Swift will be having her concert in Manila on February 19 at the Araneta Coliseum and the international singer chose teen heartthrob Sam Concepcion to open up the show for her.
Sam, winner of 2006′s Little Big Star, will be performing a song and dance number. The young performer was surprised and excited to be given such privilege. Furthermore, reports say that Sam was also invited to join Swift in her other Asian tour.
“I would have wanted just to watch Taylor’s show, but to actually open for her, it’s a big surprise and blessing,” Concepcion added.
Younghusband’s Celebrity Crushes

Azkal’s striker, Phil Younghusband, recently revealed two of his celebrity crushes: Angel Locsin and KC Concepcion. Both actresses are ABS-CBN contract stars.
“They are both very pretty and they’re always on billboards and you see them a lot. They are very attractive,” he said.
The revelation was made last Monday during the contract signing between ABS-CBN and the Philippine Football Federation (PFF). ABS-CBN will be airing all of the team’s games this year.
Liam McIntyre Is The New Spartacus

Starz’ Spartacus: Blood and Sand TV series will be having a new lead actor. Andy Whitfield will be replaced by 28 year old Australian actor Liam McIntyre as the former battles against Non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
Liam might be familiar to Australian households as he have already appeared in one of the long-running soap “Neighbors”. Whitfield was reported to be very supportive of the recasting.
Before Season 2 starts, the prequel “Spartacus: Gods of the Arena,” will be aired starting January 21 and will star Lucy Lawless and John Hannah.
