It’s Cold Outside

As much as I want to wake up early and do some jogs, I am having a hard time doing it. The weather is so nice that I tend to choose taking more sleep than hitting the road. I may not have a bed as cozy as pine beds but it really does not matter.

Crossing my fingers that I’ll be able to jog this week. I think I also need it to relieve me from some emotional stress. Hopefully by 2011, I can do it more consistently. Planning to achieve 500km for next year. Wish me luck!

December Flakes

Amidst the jolly atmosphere of December, there is one thing that I am not happy about it: dry skin. My specific problem areas are those around my nose and the middle of my brows. It really becomes flaky especially after taking a bath.

So I sought for the best facial moisturizing soap in town and thankfully, I found one that works for my skin. Taking my action further, I might also read some therapores reviews as some say that they can cleanse and purify the skin.

I am not vain. I just think that it is important that a person should be presentable in front of other people. It is our responsibility to ourselves.

Filipinos loathe insurances. I can’t blame them. We live in a country where money to cover even the basics does not come easy. So most people view insurances as an unnecessary expense rather than a worthy investment.

For those that have the right perspective, insurance are often viewed as important but not immediate. Finances are often allocated first to those that are important and immediate. A very acceptable decision as far as priorities are concerned.

However, if you have the means to allocate extra finances, make sure to find a good yet cheap insurance company.

Resolve To Stay Out of Debt

2011 will soon be knocking at our door and this means resolutions. Though most people are having a hard time sticking to them by the middle of the year, it is still good to formulate guidelines that will help us improve as a person. One resolution that is worth making is being debt free by 2011. This is one resolution that will bring the most favor to us when kept. It rids us of the headaches of charges and interests that haunts us on a monthly basis.

I needed to print some copies the other day and since our home printer is out of ink, I decided to head out to find a nearest computer shop. I went to one with a popular network of rental shops but I was disappointed with the outcome. The copies looked like it was photocopied. After I left, I saw the shop personnel shaking the printer’s cartridge. I was pissed.

With a number of printer brands out in the market, it is important to buy one that is reliable. You can choose hp printers or other popular brands if someone you know recommends them. Printouts give an impression. Make sure that it says “excellent.”

Katy Perry is set to outrun Train. Not the train that goes choo choo but the one that sings “Hey, Soul Sister.” Perry battles for the position of 2010′s most paid downloads. With barely three weeks to go until the end of the chart year, “Hey, Soul Sister” leads “California Gurls” by only 2,000 downloads selling 4,154,000 copies.

Experts predict that Train will runaway with the prize since it’s competitor that sports a summer theme might not be that appealing this holiday season.

Grateful For Mobile Phones

I can’t believe that the time will come when I can leave the house without my watch but not without my cell phone. Well the latter has the former and it does not work vice versa.

It is also amazing how mobile phones evolved through the years. From the basic call feature, it added a short messaging service which is more popular here in the Philippines compared to voice calling. Now, we can also surf the internet, take photos, do video calls, and a whole lot more. With this, who could ever leave home without them.

Despite all these features, the one I appreciate the most about cell phones is its ability to connect us to our loved ones. A gift that we could all be thankful for especially this Christmas.

Winter Wonderland

For us in the Philippines, winter is indeed a wonderland. A wonderland that a lot of us dreams of experiencing. It’s a dream that usually starts during childhood and is carried on until who knows when. However, people living near the extremes of the planet knows the pain of snow season.

This is the time to pull out the shovels and honda snowblowers in order inches and inches of ice on roads and driveways. Not only is it uncomfortable traveling but the low temperature makes it hard for anyone to stand outside the house.

I guess we can really not have all the best of life. What we have to learn however is to be thankful in every circumstances.

One of the best things to buy during sale season is a comfortable bedding. Working hard the whole day deserves a good sleep and if your pillows and mattresses are not soft and comfortable, chances are you’ll be irritable in the morning.

Purchasing them during mattress sale may be rewarding if you pay careful attention to the item. If you could lay on it, lay on it. That is the only way to check if they will give the comfort you require.

A good piece usually costs 8,000 to 12,000 pesos. It might be quite a sum but you can only have a good sleep by buying a good bed.
