Be Aware of Mesothelioma
September 24, 2010
I often hear of the word mesothelioma but I really do not have a clear idea what it really is. So I did a few research and found out the it is a rare form of cancer that can be acquired by people who are usually exposed to asbestos.
This cancer cells affects the mesothelial cells which are found in the chest, abdominal cavities, cavities around the heart, and on the outer surface of most internal organs. Mesothelium produces liquid that lubricates the organs permitting it to move around.
Mesothelioma is primarily due to inhalation or digestion of asbestos. Common symptoms includes shortness of breath, difficulty in swallowing, cough, fever, and fatigue.
Knowing The Programs
September 23, 2010
I saw a television commercial the other day from the largest drug chain of the country about a diet pill that allegedly prohibits excess calories from turning in to fats. It seems promising but I am a little skeptical since the product is still new and I have yet to hear success stories about it.
If you will search the internet for the best weight loss programs, search engines will definitely show a lot of results. All of them promises that you’ll be shedding of weight in just a short time. However, not all of them gives promising results. I guess amidst the great number of programs, only a handful probably works.
I advice people that before paying fro subscriptions or memberships with such programs, make sure that you have exhausted your effort to know more about the product.
Breast Milk Is Still Best for Babies
September 23, 2010
We often hear from formulated milk commercials that breastfeeding is still best for babies. Have you ever wondered why is that so?
Most, if not all doctors, agree that breast milk is the best and most natural food you can feed infants because it have fatty acids, lactose, water, amino acids, and minerals in right amounts that is essential for the babies holistic development. Babies who are breast fed encounters fewer illnesses as compared to those who are not.
That is why it is important that mothers know how to increase breast milk production so as to nourish their child properly. Sadly, despite the disclosure, formulated milks are still patronized for the convenience it brings especially for working mothers.
Use Baby Oil In a New Way
September 23, 2010
We sometimes get too familiar with things we see daily that we often fail to think creatively towards it. Common items in our house can be used for different purposes aside from those intended if we could only see the possibility. Take for example the baby oil, latex paint can be removed with it by pouring a generous amount on a cotton ball and scrubbing it to the affected area of our skin. Necklace chains can also be easily untangled by applying baby oil to the tangled part then using a pin to pull apart the knots. Bandages can be easily removed without the pain of pulling hairs by applying oil over and around the bandage before pulling it off.

It is still rainy season in the Philippines. This usually means the diseases are on the rise and it is best the parents protect their children appropriately. Make sure that your child always have an umbrella handy and raincoats are available at home. Since we are flood prone even in the city, it is best if boots for flood are also provided.
To give children a better chance against sickness, multivitamins will definitely strengthen resistance. It is better to be prepared these days. Do not take a chance when it comes to your child’s health.

Running Shoe Tips
September 22, 2010
People seems to be in to running these days. The sudden surge of marathon events proves this. If you are thinking of dashing your way in this activity, getting a good pair of running shoes is a definite must. Take my suggestion, get your pair from a specialty store.
Contrary to what some people think that items are more expensive in a specialty store, you could actually get the best value for your money in such stores. I got my first pair in a department store and ended up in a running specialty store later on because the shoe I got is hurting my legs during runs.
Here are some tips when buying your running shoes:
1. Buy late in the day where our feet have already expanded from all the walking we did throughout the day.
2. Bring the pair you are currently using during runs. Specialty stores are staffed with experts and they can easily recommend the appropriate pair for you just by looking at your shoes wear and tear.
3. Tell them about your running.
4. Be mindful of the fit. Make sure that you are comfortable in it. If you don’t like the fit, ask for a different pair.
Ensuring A Pocket Saver
September 19, 2010
Earlier this year, I had a car accident. Stupidity struck me when I accidentally stepped on the gas instead of hitting the breaks. The only thing I am grateful amidst the 50,000-peso repair job is that I only hit a cab (not a person) and that I have a comprehensive car insurance.
The comprehensive car insurance covered the bill for my car and the cab’s repair cost. If the processing and repair would have only became faster, it would have been perfect. Insurance was a real life or should I say pocket saver. It really saved me from a lot of trouble. That is why after that incident, I had a sunny disposition with regards to paying premiums.
Let’s Ship
September 13, 2010
I am an engineering graduate. As much as I wished to be in the broadcasting industry, fate took me elsewhere. I ended up monitoring and improving production jobs. In the local setting, a career in manufacturing isn’t that appealing compared to the BPO industry. But instead of looking across what lies beyond the fence, everyone should be thankful for a secured job amidst the economic problems.
For those who are looking for manufacturing jobs, you can submit your resume on specialized websites. Hopefully, they’ll match you with your dream job.
