Blog Business Card

Have you ever experienced rushing to find a piece of paper and a pen in order to hand a newly acquainted blogger the URL of your site? Well I did. I used to think that having business cards containing one’s blog address a little over the top and vain. However, if someone you have had good conversation with is eager to check out your site, it is good to have these little things handy. So I decided to design one for my personal blog and have a few copies printed. You can process your copies using your own printer should you fail to find an affordable business card printing service. The idea is not to have something fancy to flash around but something to remind a new friend of your www address.

No Blackheads

I learned something weird from a friend when it comes to removing blackheads. He was applying a Elmer’s glue on his nose, lets it dry, and claims that some blackheads are actually removed upon peeling the dried glue. I really haven’t verified the effectiveness of such method as I didn’t bother checking the removed glue nor counting my friend’s blackheads.

Have you ever tried this method yourself? Did it actually worked? If not, have you found a more effective way to get rid of blackheads? Kindly share your story.

Travel Light

In today’s age of mobility, don’t you just wish that you have a device that its your computer, mp3 player, cellphone, and camera yet still remains portable and affordable? Pretty much like having a KVM switch that controls multiple computers using a single input/output device.

I do not have the luxury to purchase everything new that is being released in the market. More importantly, I am not fond of carrying a large bag filled with heavy gadgets. It is so hard to travel in extreme heat carrying 3 to 5 kilos worth of gadget. I know that there are devices out there that makes traveling while maintaining accessibility more convenient. Care to suggest one?

Internet Nightmare

If waking up having a severe acne outbreak are the teens worst nightmare, waking up with an unreliable internet connection are to tech people.

I am encountering difficulty loading Yahoo and it’s networks since last night and I do not know why. I have already done power cycling and resetting a couple of time and still no improvement. Calling for technical support has always been my last resort and if this does not improve later today, I think I have no choice but to call them up.

For now, I think I’ll just enjoy my Sunday afternoon with offline activities.

Sleep Catcher

It’s already past 12 midnight and I am still awake. I have a lot of things to do piling up on my desk and I dread my tendency of not doing anything when situations such as this happens. However, even though I choose to dump all of these for tomorrow, I am not sure that sleep will easily catch up on me. Believe me, I have seriously considered taking sleeping pills previously but I just can’t seem to have the opportunity to grab one. Plus, friends are discouraging me to take such desperate action and suggests that I drink a warm milk or listen to audio books instead. I’ll probaly give myself 30 more minutes before I plug in my earphones.

How do you manage to catch with your sleep?

Skin Care Regimen

Beauty may indeed be only skin deep but it doesn’t mean that we should take taking care of it lightly. It is safe to say that the first thing most people notice on a person is his appearance so make sure to make a daily habit of caring for your skin by doing this four basic regimen:

1. Cleansing
2. Exfoliate
3. Moisturize
4. Apply sunscreen

There are a thousand skin products out in the market that claims that they are the best face creams but the key here is to know your skin type and find the product that works well with your skin. Don’t simply trust your favorite celebrity endorser, be your own judge.

Expecting Moms Should Watch Their Diet

Moms expecting their babies should make sure that what they eat and drink will not be harmful to their child. That is why women who smokes and/or drinks alcohol are advised to stop as this may cause problems in the child’s development.

There also certain foods that you should abstain from eating, at least for nine months, as they were found to be common culprits of food-borne diseases for pregnant women. These food includes: eggs, sushi, unpasteurized juices, and some varieties of fish. You might say that you are used to eating such food before so why the need to give them up now? It is because that a woman’s immune system changes during pregnancy and this food might now pose serious complications.

Also, make sure that your doctor approves the prenatal vitamin that you are taking. It never hurts to be more extra careful and consulting those who are really knowledgeable. This will help you to have a worry-free pregnancy.

Dreaming of Paris

Ever dream of doing a great European trip? I do. I see Europe as a region for arts and architecture. A sure feast for the eye. Sadly, visiting Europe from the Philippines will surely send one big blow to one’s pocket. It will definitely send me in to a technical knockout worst, a coma. Haha.

However, I am not giving hope. I still wish to see the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the Cathedral of Notre Dame, the Pantheon, and have a feel of Parisian living. Someday, I will have that vacation rental paris experience. Only God knows when. :D

Multiply Has Now Partnered With Digiprint

Every Multiply user knows that they are able to order prints of pictures that they are browsing. However, for us Filipinos, such service might not be available for us or would cost much higher due to proximity of the printer. Those could have been the case but not anymore.

Multiply has partnered with Digiprint to offer customers in the Philippines a fast and affordable way to get prints of their Multiply photos.

Simply select the closest Digiprint store upon ordering your prints then go to that store to pickup and pay for the prints. Alternatively, you can also pay online and have your prints delivered free. Digiprint has more than 38 retail branches.

Old School Rocks

Cellphones, laptops, netbooks, tablets, music players. We are in the age of mobile functionality and portability as gadgets become more powerful while decreasing in their size. Communications is just a hand held away. However, though I appreciate the accessibility they bring, I still love receiving a good old letter from the mail. The idea that someone actually went out of their way to write to you adds a more personal touch to it.

We are in the age where electronics reign supreme but the simplest and primitive ways still manages to brighten my day. This Valentine’s, take time to write your special someone a letter.
