I have always down played the importance of insurances until I actually met a vehicular accident. Good thing though that the only damage incurred is damage to properties and no living being was harmed. My appreciation came up after I received the actual repair estimate for our and the other party’s vehicle. It totals to around 65,000 pesos combined. If not for the insurance, where on earth will you get such amount?

My only problem is how slow processing the papers have become. It has already been more than two weeks and the repair have yet to start. I just wish that term insurance does not take such amount of time before it can be claimed.

No More Girl Kissing for Katy Perry

Russell Brand, a 34 year old British comedian has reportedly proposed to 25 year old singer Katy Perry. No other details were available and a representative of Brand says last Wednesday that the couple have yet to decide on the date to tie the knots.

Russell Brand met Katy Perry on a hosting stint on last year’s MTV Music Awards where the singer also performed.

Katy Perry have several hits under her belt including “I Kissed a Girl”, “Thinking of You”, “Waking Up in Vegas”, and “Hot N Cold.”

I am looking forward to seeing baby strollers rolling out soon from this couple. Congratulations!

Kudos to Working Moms

I admire married women who manages to juggle her professional and her family life. Both occupation can be very demanding at times and needs careful time management. Though I believe that above anything, the kids should always be prioritized and that juggling them together with other things is unacceptable, the existence of working moms is a reality we all need to accept and embrace especially in today’s economy.

The only way we can probably see mothers staying at home is if they’ll have a successful home business. However, presence at home does not necessarily equate to quality time with the kids.

Such realization makes me all the more appreciative of women who are both good home builders and a responsible worker. Kudos!

Jogging Is Fun

Home Treatment for Blackheads

Don’t you just hate it when you see a perfect photo of yourself only to see visible blackheads? Such includes fenugreek, coriander leaves, curd, honey, epsom salt, iodine, lemon juice, potatoes, and radish seeds.

One very common home items that can be readily found in the Filipino kitchen that is a good blackheads remover is the baking soda and water. Simply mix an equal amount of both in order to create a solution then rub it for a few minutes. Then wash it off with a lukewarm water removing some of your blackheads.

Press Secretary Cerge Remonde Dies at Age 51

Press Secretary Cerge Remonde was declared dead 11:51am at the Makati Medical Center.

He was found unconscious in the bathroom of his home in Bel-Air Village in Makati by his personal staff. He arrived at the MMC emergencey department at 11:20 unconscious and without pulse and heartbeat. Despite efforts to revive him, the secretary died at age 51.

Dr. Anthony Leachon, Remonde’s personal physician, said:

“Sa tingin ko cardiac arrest secondary to myocardial infarction … Baka nagkaroon siya ng irregular heartbeat na naging cause ng pagkamatay niya.”

Remonde became Press Secretary in February 2009 after he became Director General of the Presidential Management Staff for more than two years. It was in 2001 when he joined the present administration working in various government media agencies.

Remonde’s vacated job will be filled in by Conrado “Dodie” Limcaoco Jr.

Graduation Season Is Near

Two months to go and it’s graduation time once again. This is one event that every students are waiting for. It marks the end of one chapter and the start of another. I say that it is like birthdays that marks one continuous growth. Parents normally wants to prepare a celebration during these event. This is understandable but do not get caught up with all the preparation and miss seeing the actual ceremony. It gives a child great joy as he sees his loved ones while walking up the stage.

For a better and more organized celebration, you could also send out a graduation announcements to people you want to join party. This not only serves as an invitation but a remembrance as well.
