Tis The Season For Robbers

Bank robbery is a crime that might soon go to extinction. Ever since the bloody RCBC robbery incident, all banks have been required to install security cameras to help authorities identify suspects and review the incident. However, robbers now took their operation from in-bank to off-bank robbery.

Instead of holding up the bank, they now hijack the clients. They wait for someone to come out of the bank who seems to be carrying a large amount of money and follow its vehicle. It makes sense since they have a better chance for a run.

A word of advice for those who are frequently doing large amount of withdrawal:

1. Be more unpredictable. Do not do withdrawals on a specific time of a specific day taking a specific route.
2. If possible, make use of bank products that need not require you to carry large amounts (i.e. checks, atms, wire transfer, etc)
3. Always be alert!
