September 28, 2009
In this digital age, you can almost consider portable storage devices as a necessity. These gadgets have already proven themselves to be handy on several occasion. With a computer or a laptop, you can easily secure a copy of your vacation photos with friends, save a copy on an electronic book, or have your scanned documents readily accessible.

Can’t Wait To Be Back
September 28, 2009
My sister will be coming home for a vacation this December after a two year stint in Greece. Of course we want her stay to be a memorable one for us as a family and so I am now planning for something that we haven’t done before… go on a family vacation.
I was scouting for the best travel deals and vacation destination for our family. We are no beach bums and no adventurers as well so my only remaining option is sight seeing. We decided to go to Baguio since mom and my sister haven’t seen the place yet. It may not be as picturesque as before but I know that they’ll enjoy a good night sleep there. That is what I go to Baguio for.

We have seen what Ondoy has done and I am afraid that we will be seeing more or things far worst if we do not act today. On October 15, be one of the many voices who will raise their voice against climate change. Take part… blog and take action.
Missing Baguio
September 25, 2009
The last time I have been to Baguio was just last month but I am already missing the city. One might argue that there is nothing much to see of the place since the popular attractions are far from picture-perfect as it was several years back. Sadly, that argument is true. The city has become overly populated as compared to Burnham’s original design.
Though the glory days of Baguio seems to be under peril, I still enjoy the cool weather of the city. I sleep soundly in this place. Though it could have been nice if hotels have a heated blanket, a thick and soft comforter does the trick coupled by a soft mattress. Heaven! I do hear of efforts to restore the city back to its good old days. I do hope they succeed… I wish them well.
Ahoy Koi
September 25, 2009
Perhaps the most popular ornamental pond fish variety these days are the koi fish. It is delightful to see a whole school of them adorned with their own colors and patterns. However, this variety are quite expensive with prices ranging from thousands to hundred of thousands of pesos depending on their size. With such price tags, those who owns them would naturally want to learn how to take care of these fishes. Below are some points one should take:
1. Use either mechanical, biological, or UV filters; but always make sure to keep the water in the pond clean.
2. If you have a concrete pond, make sure to use the right coating as concretes tend to increase the water’s PH level.
3. Feed the fishes with their favorite food.
4. Make sure that the pond have a steady supply of oxygen. Fountains or waterfalls can do the trick.
5. Make it a point to clean the filters and pond pumps at least twice a month.
6. Change water gradually to avoid sudden change in temperature.
7. If you notice one fish that seems sick, it is best to treat them immediately so that others will not get affected.
For more information on how to take care of them, make sure to consult with an experienced breeder.
Aging Dilemma
September 25, 2009
The effects of aging is something that disturbs most people: slower metabolism, skin blemishes, sagging skin. Without these, growing old would have been much nicer. However, its effects need not be that harsh if we have managed to maintain a healthier lifestyle at an early age.
If you are in your later years, it is not too late to start. Perform cardio exercises that your body can still handle, and eat a balanced diet. Staying fit is an active and conscious activity. You may also have to find some supplements, moisturizing products, and the best wrinkle creams in order to slow down the aging process.
It is always best to consult your doctor for health issues.
Litratong Pinoy: Karatula
September 17, 2009

Hoping to Start Running For my Life
September 16, 2009
I am starting to become alarmed with my weight and this is no vanity thing. Based on my recent computation of my Body Mass Index (BMI), I am already overweight by 5 kilos. BMI is the ratio of your height against your weight and the resulting index tells the following, more or less:
less 18.5 = underweight;
18.5 to 24.9 = normal weight;
25 tp 29.9 = overweight;
30 or greater = obese.
My friends will tell me to stop complaining about it and start doing something. Well, I have been planning to but I haven’t gotten past the planning part. Living a healthy lifestyle surely requires a lot of will. Though there are proven diet pills that work, I plan to run my way to losing that excess weight. God help me…

Hollywood has lost another star in Patrick Swayze.
After almost two years of fighting against pancreatic cancer, Swayze lost to the disease at age 57. He passed away peacefully in Los Angeles with his family by his side. The actor was popularly known for his performance as Johnny Castle in the movie Dirty Dancing and as Sam Wheat in the movie Ghost.
I Set No Corner extends our sympathies to all who mourns his loss.
