I Set No Corner

I was offered by my credit card company with an attractive insurance plan for time-critical illnesses. For only 500 pesos a month, I will receive 500,000 pesos if I will be diagnosed with say… cancer. I think it is a good investment since cancer is vying to replace heart attack as the number one killer disease these days. Though it may still be not enough considering the cost of chemo sessions and medicines, but it is definitely better than nothing. After all, 500 pesos is just worth a month of prepaid call cards.

However; with news of recession, bankrupt banks, and folding insurance companies; I don’t think I am ready to take such risk to secure myself.. for now. But I am open to the idea especially for those with an affordable insurance rates.

Any advice for those planning to acquire an insurance plan?

Though Sanuk claims that they are no shoes but sandals, mukha pa din silang sapatos. Pero naibibigay nga nila ang comfort na makukuha mo sa isang soft sole na sandalyas. Kaya naman padami na ng padami ang mga kakilala kong nagkakaroon nito.

This week’s Elimination Result pains me since two of my favorites were in the bottom three and one of them eventually got voted off. I failed to watch the performance night but read in the net that she indeed delivered an unimpressive performance. The judges are willing to use their veto vote on her granting she can deliver a good reprise performance. But how could you impress someone with the same piece that got you in this mess? And so Alexis Grace goes home…

One of the many talented contestants that failed to make it through American Idol Season 8’s Hollywood Week is David Osmond.

David is the fourth son of Alan Osmond who is the eldest of the performing Osmonds. David auditioned in Salt Lake City with Take 6’s Something Within Me as his piece. Based from the clips shown on television, the judges were not that ecstatic with his song. Regardless, I was hoping to see him as one of the Top 12 or 36 the least. But he didn’t. Since the show failed to give him, nor his group, airtime during Hollywood Week, fans might be wondering and speculating the reason behind the early end of his Idol journey. Surely, he seems more talented than some who made it to the Top 36.

Wonder no more as David himself recalls what happened to him that day…

What a crazy night, huh!? Unbelievable actually. It’s really weird that they didn’t show anything from our group from that day, because it was without a doubt one of the freakiest days that I have EVER had in my entire life. Let me explain…

In Naruto Manga Chapter 439: Chibaku Tensei, despite Konan’s warning, Nagato resorted to using a forbidden technique in order to capture the Nine-tailed Fox even though the said technique will give quite a toll on his weakening body.

Chibaku Tensei seems to work by releasing a ball-shaped chakra in mid air absorbing everything underneath it. Catching the Kyuubi wrapped under layers of absorbed land.

We see Naruto in front of the Kyuubi’s prison, confused and hurt with the truth that is overwhelming him. In search for answers, he gave in to the fox’s offer to relieve him of the pain he is feeling thru destruction. We see the seal in his belly opening up releasing 2 more demon tails resulting to the Kyuubi escaping Chibaku Tensei.

Just when Naruto was about to release the seal from Kyuubi’s prison, the Fouth Hokage snatched him away. It seems that part of the seal’s safety measure is the appearance of Yondaime in Naruto’s consciousness when 8 os its tails are released.

And for the first time, Naruto will learn the truth. He will finally know that he is the only son of the Hidden Leaf’s Yellow Flash – the Fourth Hokage of Konoha.

Though none of those eliminated is my favorite, I was surprised to see Jorge Nunez go. I was expecting that he’ll have the whole Puerto Rico’s support on his Idol quest. He did made a bad pick. He may have made it for another round if he sang She’s Out of My Life.

Jasmine Murray is the other casualty of this week’s double elimination. At her young age, she’ll have a lot of time to polish her talent. I do not have any problem with her being serious or sentimental if that is her personality. I just feel something unnatural with her whenever she performs.

It seems that the judges will be having a power to veto the voters’ decision for this season. However, with the way votes are favoring the judges’ favorites (i.e. Adam Lambert, Danny Gokey, Lil Rounds), they may not be needing to use it after all. They will all advance to the next round together with Alexis Grace, Allison Iraheta, Anoop Desai, Kris Allen, Lil Rounds, Matt Giraud, Megan Corkrey, Michael Sarver, and Scott McIntyre.

Next week, only one Idol hopeful will be walking down the road. If he gets saved, two will go on the following week.

America have completed its new set of Idol hopefuls with one contestant more than originally determined.

Twelve Hollywood Week survivors battled it out during Round 3 of the Top 36 and the following stood victorious:

1. Lil Rounds – 23 years old from Memphis, TN
2. Scott McIntyre – 23 years old from Scottsdale, AZ
3. Jorge Nunez – 20 years old from Carolina, PR

Eight contestants who were previously eliminated from the Top 36 round were selected by the judges to compete for the Wild Card. Four made it through:

1. Jasmine Murray – 16 years old from Starkville, MS
2. Megan Corkey – 22 years old from Sandy, UT
3. Matt Giraud – 23 years old from Kalamazoo, MI
4. Anoop Desai – 21 years old from Chapel Hill, NC

Sadly, unlike the first half, none of their qualifying performances impressed me enough to be my favorite. However, I commend Matt Giraud and Megan Corkey for an enjoyable performance.

The temperature these days are definitely getting warmer. Pack up your electric blanket and turn on your air conditioners. Summer is here!

I never liked extreme weather conditions and if I have to choose between flood and heat, I would rather prefer the former. However, we have to live through the summer. So I try to comfort myself by wearing light clothes, indulging in cold drinks, and a lot of water intake.

How do you refresh yourself during summer?

The nine-tailed fox was awakened as never before in Naruto Manga 438: Breaking the Seal. With six tails now appearing, the kyuubi not only cloaks Naruto with chakra but with real skeleton as well. With only the First Hokage’s necklace serving as a seal to limit the fox’s power, the kyuubi reaches in to its chest for it and breaks it with its own hands.

Even with only six tails, Pain’s Shinra Tensei wasn’t able to repel the demon fox’s power. Instead, he was the one throw away by the impact. God Realm Pain makes a run away from Konoha and closer to Nagato luring Naruto in what seems to be a trap using a secret techniques called Chibaku Tensei.
