Litratong Pinoy: Lila

Sold out! Although we managed to have one the day before, gusto ko sanang makapag-uwi nito bilang pasalubong.

Naruto Manga 432: Naruto Goes Hardcore

January 24, 2009

Naruto Manga 432We saw the return of a whole new Naruto two manga chapters ago and I bet that those following this series can’t help but be astonished with the changes we are seeing in him. Very far from the annoying, noisy and impulsive kid we all knew.

Arriving in sage mode, Naruto have managed to crush one persona of Pain by a single and quick blow; threw a charging rhino-like summon with his bare hands; attacked the other two summons with two gigantic rasengan; took down another Pain persona with a frog kata; destroyed another Pain with a Rasen Shuriken; and eliminated the fourth with a double rasengan attack.

Litratong Pinoy: Kahel

Kuha ito sa unang kinainan namin on our first night in Ilocos – Bossa Candon. Isang maliit na resto cafe na Mexican inspired. Madaming mga surreal paintings na gumagayak sa kulay kahel nitong mga pader. Maging sa loob ng comfort room ay may paintings din. If I may also add, I love their Sapsapuriket!!!

WordPress TV Saves You From All Tinkering Injuries

January 20, 2009

Managing a WordPress site may come as a shock to those just starting out blogging. I understand their situation since the vast options you’ll see upon logging in is enough reason to be overwhelmed. However, these are just available options. If you take the time to know what each one is for, you’ll save lots of time the next time you publish your next article.

Fortunately, the people at WordPress have decided to come up with a video tutorial site – WordPress.tv. They have compiled the basics of managing your self-installed and .com sites. WordCamp videos are also included to keep you updated with the latest “talk of the camp”.

All in all, the site is your visual resource for all things WordPress. Enjoy!

Everyone Wants An Inviting Home

January 18, 2009

We all want to tidy up our personal spaces and if budget permits, do some house renovations. However, it is important that we have a clear idea of what we want, that we know where to get the best materials, and that we have someone who can give sound and professional advice. Addressing all these factors will save you from the hassles of making mistakes.

Invitinghome.com is a good source for all of these. The site offers a vast gallery of decorating ideas that will help you visualize and come up with the perfect design for your home. The gallery not only showcases pictures but also provides a link to the items, like molding and Corbels, used and available through them.

Yes! You could also buy from their site those hard to find and beautiful products which you fell in love with in their gallery. Details about the item are fully available so you could make an informed decision before you make that purchase. They will not leave you in the dark guessing if those Corbels will match perfectly with your home.

If you are still unsure, you can drop by their showroom at Needham for a consultation with their design professionals. Just bring all important informations including calculations of the project in mind, desired color palettes, and if you have photos of designs that you like, bring them as well.

Grace on Display

January 18, 2009

I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, putting me into service, even though I was formerly a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent aggressor Yet I was shown mercy because I acted ignorantly in unbelief; and the grace of our Lord was more than abundant, with the faith and love which are found in Christ Jesus. (1 Timothy 1:12-14)

Paul described himself as the worst of sinners, and yet someone to whom the Lord had expressed His favor and love (1 Tim. 1:16 NIV). Because of divine grace, the apostle became spiritually alive and a member of God’s family. He had a new purpose for living—one that would glorify his heavenly Father and help build His kingdom. From that day forward, Paul’s attitudes and behavior were dramatically different.

Three Spots I Enjoyed Most In Ilocos

January 17, 2009

Three days is more than enough for one to appreciate the beauty of Ilocandia. Sadly, three days is not enough to experience and enjoy what the province has to offer. In that span of time, we managed to visit at least ten spots, tried some few local dishes, and met new friends. If my budget permits, I wouldn’t have second thoughts going back to Ilocos.

It is not easy to put in one post the entire experience and so let me start my series with the three spots I enjoyed the most in Ilocos.

Bangui Bay Wind Farm in Bangui, Ilocos Norte.

Wind Power Project: Bangui, Ilocos NorteLining up the bay of Bangui in Ilocos Norte are twenty windmills towering around 110 meters, all white modern structures in a natural blue sea and blue sky setting! This are the kind of structures the government should be spending on.

If you decide to visit the wind farm, do not content yourself seeing it from the view deck. Continue further down the route but keep an eye on the left side of the road for a sign that will prompt you to turn left to Bangui Bay Wind Power Project.

Year of the Ox

January 16, 2009

The Chinese new year falls on January 26. This marks the start of the Year of the Ox. Those born in the Year of the Horse can ease up their intake of horse supplements as the coming year will be kinder to them. The Year of the Ox is in direct opposite with those born in the Year of the Sheep.

Anyway, whether you believe in Chinese horoscope or not, it is vital that we weigh our decisions carefully, manage our finances wisely, give our best in all our ventures, and to seek God’s will in everything. With that, do not count it bad when failure comes. Most of the time, blessings arrive in disguise.

Despite of the gloomy outlook we are hearing for 2009, resolve to live a happy life.
