Weight Problems

September 10, 2008

I’m over weight.

I think I need to be more serious in regulating my diet. Not just in terms of quantity but in my eating time and physical activity as well.

I only eat 2 meals a day. One at 1PM and the other at 7PM. However, my lack of physical activity plus my slowing metabolism seems to be multiplying my food consumption. So I think I’ll follow the advice of a friend doctor of totally cutting out on rice and probably try diet pills to suppress my appetite.

This will be scheduled after my “THE” day…

Recovering At Home

September 7, 2008

My aunt have arrived a week ago from Greece after she had a knee operation. She is now staying at her eldest daughter’s house just near our home until she have fully recovered.

Though it is difficult for her to walk, she makes it a point to do minor walking once in a while to serve as an exercise. She often goes outside of their lawn and wishes that they have comfortable patio furniture covers so she could enjoy the cool air and the morning sun.

I do pray for her quick recovery though the doctors said that it might take months before she’s normally back on her feet.

A Piece Of Me

September 2, 2008

With my love for taking photos, it is only natural for me to want to share my shots. Aside from showcasing them in my photoblog, I have already managed to give 2 framed shots for a gift and I’m glad that the recipients liked it. Two other framed pictures now hangs in our receiving area as well. I also managed to find among SM’s picture frames an interesting item that I decided to place in my room.

Hopefully with my newly acquired camera, I’ll be able to take more snapshots of scenes and things worthy of being framed.

Too Much Reliance On Meds

September 2, 2008

My relatives abroad have been frequently asking me to check on prices of some meds lately. Not those that cure common colds and flu but those that promises to improve one’s physical appearance: from skin lighting, to weight losing like Fentraphen, to appetite suppressants. And with this I have noticed one thing, this meds are quite expensive costing around 35 to 70 pesos per capsule!

Surprisingly, they sell big time. This only shows that some people wants to improve their looks without sweating it out. The “instant and convenient” mentality have taken them over.

Health Plans For 2009

September 2, 2008

I have long been wanting to go to a gym with cardio equipments. I know that I can simply jog on the streets for free and save me thousands of pesos a year for membership but stray dogs in the morning really worries me.

I do not plan to develop muscles like that of people using legal steroids. I just want to get rid of the fats that I have easily gained from spending long hours in front of my computer and make my muscles a little firmer. I need a more active lifestyle if I want to be healthy. I think I’ll be saving for that membership in time for next year.
