Naruto Manga 405: Feeling The Grief

On Naruto Manga Chapter 405: Left Behind, Fukasaku-sama, without beating around the bush, broke the news to them that Jiraiya have died in battle and left a coded message etched behind his back. Naruto felt that it was wrong for Tsunade to send Jiraiya on that mission alone and walked out the room leaving Tsunade and the others wishing that Naruto is indeed the destined child.

Now Naruto walks through town reminiscing all the times he spent with Jiraiya. He spent the rest of the day inside his room and only left for the night to buy a popsicle stick which he shared with his sensei during his training. Sitting alone in the dark, he finally cried for his lost sensei.

His comfort came from Iruka sensei who joined him that night and revealed how the great Sannin was always talking about Naruto…

Jiraiya-sama had nothing but praise for you. He’d brag constantly about you, how you were practically his grandson. How you were a man who’d inherited his spirit. He never doubted for a minute that you’d grow up to be a wonderful Hokage. Jiraiya-sama will always be watching over you. I’m sure he’s looking down on you wherever he is. But if you just sit around sulking, he won’t be able to brag about you. Don’t stop being the person who earned all that praise. Be yourself… and cheer up!

Meanwhile, Tsunade commanded Shikamaru to lead the cryptology squad to immediately break the coded message. She then left the room without listening to Shikamaru’s report. She buried herself in work but the grief has finally overcome her heart…she only allow herself this one moment to cry for a “stupid man” like Jiraiya.

On Naruto Manga Chapter 406, will Shikamaru finally decipher the message Jiraiya died for? How will that message change the world and life of Naruto?
