Alexandrea Lushington - Spinning Wheel

June 6, 2008 · Print This Article

America just found a new Idol. Since I am happy with the outcome, I decided to feature four songs/performances that impressed me during the show.

During Hollywood Week, Josiah Leming enjoyed more airtime than top 20 contestant Alexandrea Lushington. That’s why I was surprised when she performed Spinning Wheel. It was cool and it was funky.

Lyrics of Spinning Wheel by Alexandrea Lushington after the jump.

What goes up must come down
Spinnin’ wheel got to go ’round
Talkin’ ’bout your troubles it’s a cryin’ sin
Ride a painted pony let the spinnin’ wheel spin

Did you find the directing sign on the
Straight and narrow highway
Would you mind a reflecting sign
Just let it shine within your mind
And show you the colors that are real

You got no money and you got no home
Spinnin’ wheel all alone
Talkin’ ’bout your troubles and you never learn
Ride a painted pony let the spinnin’ wheel turn

What goes up must come down
Spinnin’ wheel got to go ’round

She should have been in the Top 12 replacing Kristy Lee Cook or Amanda Overmyer. Apparently, she didn’t “wowed” me, although I like her “If you leave me now” version.

I think Josiah was the “most exposed” during the entire audition days…I’m not really liking Alexandria.

    K,
i also thought na okay rendition nya ng if you leave me now. siguro kulang lang talaga sya sa charisma. pero i think mas deserving nga sya kesa kay overmyer and klc. i was shocked that he was voted off that early.

    ELY,
siguro josiah will make a come back on season 8 kaya todo exposure sila. maybe, maybe not.

Got something to say?
