Bearing One Another’s Burdens
June 29, 2008

Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. (Galatians 6:2)
When God places people in your life who are in need, He is aware of what they lack, and He knows He has given you the resources to meet those needs. You know God does nothing by accident. When a need surfaces around you, immediately go to the Father and say, “You put me here for a reason. You knew this was going to happen. What did You intend to do through me that would help this person become closer to You?”
Recognizing a need in someone’s life can be one of the greatest invitations from God you will ever experience. It’s easy to become frustrated by the problems of others. They can overwhelm you as you become aware of need after need. Rather than looking at each new problem as one more drain on your time, energy, or finances, ask God why He placed you in this situation. Allow God to help you see beyond the obvious needs of others to the things He wants to accomplish in their lives. Don’t miss God’s activity because you’re reluctant to carry the load of others.
Is God blessing you materially? It may be He is developing a “supply depot” in your life through which He can provide for others. Has God granted you a strong, healthy family life? It may be that He requires such a home to minister to the hurting families all around you. Has God released you from sinful habits? Has God’s peace comforted you in a time of great sorrow? Has God miraculously provided for your needs? It may be that He has been purposefully building things into your life so that you can now be the kind of person who will carry the burdens of others.
From Experiencing God
by Henry and Richard Blackaby
INTROSPECTION: We rarely become sensitive to the needs of others. We tend to see the blessings we receive as ours, given by God only for us. May we have an open heart and an open hand, to extend help to those in need.
Have a blessed Sunday…
WordPress Theme Designer
June 27, 2008
WP Theme Designer, a website owned by ChiQ Montes, aims to build a community by sharing tips, freebies, WP themes and articles that will help WordPress users to further improve their site. Though a self professed netrepreneur, ChiQ still goes out of her way to share free WordPress themes to the community.
Her latest theme release is a three column magazine style called Maggo Mag Theme. The theme sports a sleek and clean look thanks to the white and light purple colors that dominates it. With the content placed between two sidebars, there is plenty of room to add tools and features to grace your blog. The theme is also ad friendly with the inclusion of areas to accommodate a banner and 125pixel square ads.
Despite the fact that this site is barely three months old, her 330 feed subscribers is a testimony of how great can the site be as a web resource for starting and seasoned bloggers.
Make Getting Out Of Debt A Priority
June 27, 2008
We live in a funny world of commercialism and lack of abundance. We commonly hear people complaining about how meager, compared to their needs, their salaries are. Yet here are advertisements enticing us to buy this and that in the name of looking good, convenience, and being in fashion.
This often leads people to resort to different forms of money lenders like personal cash loans and abuse of credit card usage. I once got entangled in high debt and I must tell you that it was such a pain especially seeing the interests. Good thing that before I left my job, I was able to do some debt consolidation. I also received a separation pay enough for me to make my debt settlement and still got some extra cash left.

Banco De Oro Find Ways. What Ways?
June 26, 2008
I do not mean this to be a smear campaign. I just really can’t contain my disappointment with Banco De Oro’s system. The only proof I have that they find ways to serve their clients is their extended banking hours. Sadly, the three counts of personal discomforts I experienced transacting with them over shadows this fact.
Instance #1: ATM Account
I opened an ATM account with them and decided to apply it for online banking. They told me that application can be done on the internet. So I signed up when I arrived home only to discover that after filling up the online form, I have to print it out and submit it to any of their branches. Unfortunately, I don’t own a printer. So I thought that I’ll just go to the bank to ask for a form and fill it up there. They have no form. They told me that application can ONLY be done on the internet. So I looked for a computer shop, had the form printed out, returned to the bank to submit it, and they informed me that I just need to wait for an email informing me that my online banking is activated. That email my friends took three weeks…

Litratong Pinoy: Pag-Aaral
June 26, 2008

The MV Princess Of The Stars Tragedy
June 25, 2008
MV Princess of the Stars capsized 3km from Sibuyan Island in Romblon at the height of typhoon Frank (international name: Fengshen) on June 22, 2008. The ferry was carrying over 800 passengers and as of the latest update, 70 were found dead, 48 survivors rescued, while the rest is still missing.
The shipping company Sulpicio Lines, a name that immediately rang a bell to me because of previous disasters, announced that they would pay P200,000 to the family of each casualty and give financial assistance to the survivors and their relatives.
