Carly Smithson was the 19th contestant voted off from American Idol Season 7. She made it through the top 6 and was eliminated April 23 after singing “Jesus Christ Superstar” on Andrew Lloyd Weber Night. I’d say her performance was just okay. I’m not really that impress. Though I think Brooke White should have been the one to go.
Her performance which I admired the most was way back during Hollywood Week when she sang Heart’s “Alone”.
Rare are the times you’ll see Jason Castro perform without his strings. I enjoyed “Memory” on the first part however, it became a little boring as it ends.
Brooke White should know what “the show must go on” mean. This was the second time she stopped after the first few lines to repeat her performance not counting her Hollywood week audition. Surprisingly, I’m glad that Paula pointed this one out.
I am not actually thrilled with David Cook‘s “Music Of The Night“. Basically because I’m not familiar with it, I didn’t felt that David was singing to the most gorgeous woman he met in his life as Andrew Webber explained, and he was not the Cook I got hooked to.
I have to give it up to David Archuleta for singing “Think Of Me“. I’m not familiar with the song but I enjoyed his performance. See? I’m not biased after all.
Syesha Mercado loves to do it on top of the piano. Sing, that is. I think this girl is delivering one powerful performance as the week progresses. Go Syesha!

AI is now a popularity contest for teenyboppers. I am not surprise at all.
To the remaining 5, they can mess up the lyrics, stop/repeat their song/don’t sing too good…. I mean cmon this is not the Top 50 anymore.
BIG Shocker, David Cook is out next week, hahahaha.
The winner is Archu.
Yawnz!

LONIX,
affected? mabuhay ka! balita?
K,
i always believe that those with great talent will make it big even after being eliminated from idol. the past 6 seasons was a testament to this.

From last season, I recalled people were all “Sanjayasized”.
True, where is Taylor Hicks now?
Most of the contestant this season has past recordings. But aren’t they suppose to be selling their CD’s already before joining AI? And I know, Ramiele doesnt have. So seeing her in the competition was more neutral and exciting because that’s all about finding new talent.
I will join next year, hahaha.

taylor hicks has just completed two sold out tours and is back in the studio working on two new albums and we are waiting on the release of a live dvd dfrom his second tour. He puts on a fantastic live show and you really have to see him live and outside of the AI farce to appreciate the performer and singer that he is.
