Will Janina San Miguel Conquer The World?

I didn’t bother watching the 2008 Binibining Pilipinas pageant so I was clueless with the sudden fame of the crowned Bb. Pilipinas World, Janina San Miguel. I was surprised to learn the she managed to take home a crown despite the way she answered the judge’s question as I read from a transcript.
I think she was endearing in the video. 
However, I think she must exert more effort to improve herself or just stick to what she knows best if she wants to win Miss World.
I have no problem if she is not fluent in English. There are contestants from other countries that chooses to have an interpreter and to answer in their national language despite the fact that they understand and can in fact speak English. My problem with Janina is why did she not answered in Filipino when she struggled so much for English words.
In an international beauty pageant where wit in answering the final question can earn you the crown, my only advice for Janina is to know her limitations and focus on her strengths. For the country’s sake, go get an interpreter for the Miss World competition.

Idon’t watch beauty pageants eventhough my sister is a beauty queen herself wayback years ago. But upon watching this from different blogs, it made me want to think that watching pageants must be totally entertaining. LOL
kidding aside, I laughed when she (Janina) laughed at herself. Haha para bang natawa na sya sa sarili nya dahil di kinaya ng powers nya. But for me that is what makes her endearing and charming. despite her difficulty in expressing herself in english she still manage to have her poise and laugh at her mistakes kahit halos lahat ng tao pinagtawanan sya.
Ron, alam mo kung kanino ako nainis? dun sa kaunaunahang contestant na tinanong ni Ambassador Kenney. Kung sya daw ay pipili ng Women Leaders sa buong mundo, sino daw pipiliin nya. ang sagot ba naman ay si GMA. haha naboo ng tao. nasa other clip ata yun sa you tube.

naku di ko na napanood yung sagot nung other finalist. ang sama naman ng choice nya, alam na nyang nasa gitna ng controversy si gma yun pa pinili nya. ahaha!
sobrang nahiya ako sa nangyari….lol but seriously, ang hirap nun..major humiliation ever

well that is just okay since she is just 17 years old uhm.. okay wait… ahahaha! at least she still got their entire pamily with her on the tuff you know.
hindi ata tamang gawin excuse yung age para hindi makasagot ng tama. I have this feeling that it’s either magkalat din siya internationally or baka mananalo siya dun. LOL

tama ka dun bro. maayos pa nga sumagot si charice pempengco sa kanya e. haha! well for the country’s sake, i do wish her well.
I guess it’s a big deal here because English happens to be our second language and we pride ourselves of being able to speak “the” language. In fact we even sell that attribute through the growing number of call centers all over our country.
In other countries, no biggie ;P I had the same sentiment when I saw this, nagtagalog ka na sana iha

yah! no problem with not speaking english well. it’s a matter of being able to sell yourself to the judges.
WhAt’s the big fuzz? after all, It’s a BEAUTY Contest anyway. Crucify her kung sa declamation contest sya nanalo. ahahaha… =D

hmmm…i think mas madali mag-comment sa palpak ng ibang tao..rather than think what couldve happened to you if you were actually the one that was on her shoes!
dapat nga lang nag-pinoy na lang sya!
hope she’ll use this time to improve her english skills para sa ms. world.

i hope she can use this to her advantage. kuha na lang sya interpreter para makapag-isip pa sya paano ico construct sentence nya.
pero sa tingin ko lang to ha, i think the reason why the judges.. uhm, eto wait, the judges gave her the bb pilipinas-world crown because she managed to finish an answer (though technically that couldn’t be considered an answer) with confidence (yes, confidence, uhm…). other would have just ran backstage and hope people would forget her blunders.
on tough of that… LOL! ‘-)

i really cant tell kasi di ko napanood yung other finalist. pero sayang naman if contestants will win just because wala ng mas maayos sa kanya.
pero i do wish her luck.
I really admire this girl(Janina) even though she did not answer the question very well she was still able to manage her self. I thought if i was in her post during that time i might be fallen down in front of so many people watching…. come to think of it… di natin kaya yon bukod tangi lang si Janina San Miguel so what kung di siya nakasagot ng maigi nanalo naman siya.. Sabi nga ng bibliya ang ibinababa itinataas ng panginoon..
Good luck nalang kay Janina pag pray natin.
