American Idol 7 – Top 16 Elimination Round
If you are reading this post elsewhere other than I Set No Corner, chances are, it is stolen.
The viewers have spoken and it led to the elimination of Asia’h Epperson, Kady Malloy, Danny Noriega, and Luke Menard (finally!). Simon was right with Kady. She is fun to see in the clips but is boring in her performances.
I had difficulty in choosing the other two. I was surprised to see Asia’h go though it really doesn’t bother me much. Contrary to what Paula and Randy were saying last week, I think Asia’h did a horrible performance in singing All By Myself. She is indeed brave with her song choices and is a good performer on stage, yet “almost nailing a song” is just a tactful way of saying “you blew it”.
As for Danny, I think he has nice vocals but the expressions he conveys with his head and mouth movement bothers me so much.
With 12 more contestants remaining, I think I’ll be having problems choosing who deserves to go next. All of them has talent. However, charm, voter’s genre inclination, and the fans just might spell the difference in becoming the next American Idol.
Asia’h has a good husky voice, she sang the song well (I Wanna Dance..) but it was a baf song choice because it didn’t fit well. And singing Whitney Houston was a kiss of death for me. Simon was right, a 2nd-rate Whitney.
It shoulda been Kristy Lee got voted out instead than her IMO. I don’t know with Amanda, the Nurse can only scream-singing to rock music, she’ll be next to go or Kristy Lee – or that Chikezie dude, just not likeable.
Brooke? Her voice is ordinary, no belting, she may not win but her records will, for sure – just like Daughtry (AI 6).
If you listen to Ramiele’s songs, she actually has a nice vocals. She needs to work hard for the coming weeks, show people what she got (I know she can).
But I am not rooting to anyone, watching is fun than being fanatic.

i think the next to go will be overmyer, chikezie, kristy lee cook, and probably johns.
there are a lot of contestants that i previously admired but sadly, have yet to deliver an impressive performance (i.e. smithson, johns, and mercado).

she’s still in. however, the judges seems to be unsatisfied with her performance for the last two weeks.
ramielle indeed have to work hard in the coming weeks. the competition is getting tougher.

Is true, may online voting na rin this season? Ohnoes, panalo na si Ramiele kung ganun? Lam mo naman tayong Pinoy, One for All, All for One.
Remember the recent pageant? Aba, puro Photogenic awards ang nakukuha ng Pinas candidates natin. So malamang… mag wawala si Simon Cowell because obviously you’ll expect lots of Brooke pimping now that she’s included in the Top 12.

maybe you should have placed the “if you’re reading..” thing after the photos so the sploggers would copy those text too. i’ve had too much of those sploggers too each time i write about american idol, blogs, internet of anything else. quite annoying but it seems there’s nothing we can do about it. i once reported it to google only to get adviced that i need to file a formal copyright complaints. hahaha.
anyway, i also thought luke is good with those songs that he picked however, he’s not one of those worth remembering. i also liked asia’h because of her “black” voice but then again…
anyway i’ve changed the URL with my handler. hope you won’t mind.
