Jumper

February 20, 2008 · Print This Article

A genetic anomaly allows a young man to teleport himself anywhere. He discovers this gift has existed for centuries and finds himself in a war that has been raging for thousands of years between “Jumpers” and those who have sworn to kill them. [Source: Yahoo! Movies]

I am a little disappointed with this film. It is one of those movie with a good concept gone to waste because of a poor plot. The movie ended with a slight hint that a second part might actually be on the way. This might actually be a good opportunity for the film to redeem itself. However, I don’t think I am eager to see a sequel in the near future.

Also, the protagonist’s careless, stupid, arrogant, and naive character only added to the reasons of why I dislike the movie. The story opens to a Jumper the possibility to land anywhere, anywhere except my list of favorite movies.

I had a 3min nap in the middle and feels like I was being teleported out of the cinema.

And that young Irish dude just came out from nowhere, annoying.
If I have a power like that, I’ll use it to help people and not entirely enjoying a tanning atop the pyramid with a burger.

    Ugh! A total waste.

I don’t know this movie and not sure if it’s time travel thing but if I have that power that I believe he has in this movie, I’ll go back to last year and let belinda Doolittle get into the finals instead of Jordan or the Beatboxer.

Or maybe I did and realized that aftermath wasn’t good and decided to go back in time again to re-fix what I had just fixed.

    Strange huh!?

    K,
a total waste it is. :( i kinda like the idea of people having such power. this is a case of a bad story line.

    NAC,
not actually time travel, more of like space travel. they can teleport to basically any place as long as they have seen it before even if just in photographs. but who knows, maybe if they decide to make a series of sequels, we might see their power evolving.
