ISNC Advisory 2008-01

January 12, 2008

Yesterday, my site had been down for almost 7 hours due to CPU excess usage. It looks like I’ve had too many scripts running on my sites. :D So today, I decided to trim it down to the basics, disabling the following features:

  • You will no longer receive comment email responses from me. Should you desire to follow the conversation in the comments area, please subscribe to the comments or visit back.
  • Only the part of my post before the ‘more’ tag will be available in the feed. To read the full post, you now need to visit the site.
  • Word verification for comments are now removed.
  • Footnotes are now disabled.

Sorry for any inconvenience that these changes might bring you. I’m looking forward to restoring them as soon as things get settled. Also, I’m considering transferring to a better webhost and would appreciate any feedback or advice you can give me. Thanks. :D

I Want Your Entrecards

January 8, 2008

Just this week, I decided to join Entrecard. I love the idea of a virtual calling card that you can easily drop off to other participants to let them know that your site exist. The rules are also quite simple to understand: drop a card to earn credits, use the credits to advertise to others’ widgets. Ads worth is equal to double the number of cards you receive in a day.

So if you have one, I want your Entrecard. :D I’ll appreciate it if you could drop me one on the right side of my blog.

This post is in reply to Ate Thess‘ tag which goes like this…

****Game/meme for Entrecard Filipino and Non Filipino users****

* Tell us why you’re using Entrecard
* Tag 3-5 bloggers you know who are using Entrecard
* Return the favor by dropping your card on theirs
* Copy this game/meme on your entry and by the end of your entry, simply add your blog/s that are using Entrecard/s. This is a networking game, so please don’t be stingy with your links.
* Linking back to this entry as the game/meme source: “ENTRECARD works for me!” is appreciated.
* Lastly, simply add your blogs after mine.

***End of game***

Include in your entry: Thesserie & 2 | iRonnie | add yours next!

So here are the people I wish to pass this game to:

2008 World Pyrolympics Schedule

January 8, 2008

2006 World PyrolympicsBelow is the 2008 World Pyrolympics schedule circulating around the internet.

No Rains For Marie

January 6, 2008

In my post Best Wishes Mga Panget, Ate Thess commented:

congrats to the newly weds! ikaw kapatid, kelan kaya? :)

to which I replied:

kapag sinagot na ako ni marie digby. ahaha!

I guess if there is an award for the best talent scout out there, you got to hand it over to YouTube who once again gave birth to a star…

Marie Digby is half Irish and half Japanese and plays the guitar and piano by ear. The video above have over four million views on YouTube and opened an opportunity for her to appear on the Carson Daly show. Currently, she has 4 songs up on iTunes and will be coming out with an album around April this year.Congratulations and more power Marie!

God Looks for Clay

January 6, 2008

“O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter?” says the LORD. “Look, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel! (Jeremiah 18:6)

God knows how to bring salvation to your family, your friends, your community, and your world. Accordingly, He looks for those who will allow Him to shape them into the instruments He requires to do His divine work. Clay has no plans of its own, no aspirations for service, nor reluctance to perform its given task. It is just clay. Moldable, pliable, totally submissive to the will of its master.

Bernal – Victoria Nuptial
December 22, 2007

To Jeff and Marlyn,

I am grateful that the last ten years you’ve spent with each other ended in marriage. You have indeed proven that true love waits. As you start a new chapter in your life, may you not only count the years but make every year count. Grow more in your love and let God be the center of your relationship. When push comes to shove, you always have us, your friends, to count on.

Thank you for the opportunity to stand beside the both of you on one of the special moments in your life. May your love for each other grow more at each passing day. Congratulations!

Let the hurts and failures be washed away and let the slates be clean. Today is a good day to start anew.
