House Is A Holmes

Seeing how sarcastic he can be in the face of a life and death medical situation, I can’t help but wonder how Gregory House would be if he’d been one of those plastic surgeons. He’ll probably go broke as patients will shun him for his poor patient relation skills and lack of empathy.

Contrary to the first medical doctor I knew on television which was Doggie Howser, whom could also be one of the early bloggers if I may add, House is a misanthropic and a maverick doctor who gets away with it for his medical genius. He only picks cases that interests and puzzles him and despises doing walk-in clinic duties. In diagnosing, he relies heavily on symptoms. He considers other things at times except what the patient declares because he believes that everybody lies.

All episodes seem to be following a sequenced formula but what interests me are the subplots and the way the characters are evolving. I may not fully understand all those medical stuff they’re discussing but watching House’s display of wit and sarcastic remarks are enough for me to enjoy the show. Add to that the fact that he is like a medical Sherlock Holmes.

Wow. It's Quiet Here...
