Naruto Manga 386: An Eye For An Eye

Naruto Manga 386: My New Light! sheds A LOT of light on the Uchiha clan’s Mangekyou. Apparently, aside from being able to control the nine-tailed fox, the dreaded Mangekyou that can only be obtained if an Uchiha Sharingan user kills his friend holds a far more dreadful secret. The constant use of it causes blindness but transplanting a brother’s eye to the user causes the Mangekyou to find an everlasting source of light. A permanent Mangekyou Sharingan.
After Madara claimed his younger brother’s eye, he easily took control of every shinobi clan the Uchihas encountered and was praised as the strongest shinobi in the world. He formed an alliance with the Senju Clan and gave birth to a formidable organization that soon became known as The Hidden Leaf. He lost control of the new nation to the Senju leader, the First Hokage, and decided to form his own secret organization – The Akatsuki.
Itachi, wanting to surpass Madara, left Sasuke alive for the sole purpose of taking his brother’s eye for a spare and attain an inextinguishable source of new light.The bond between all Uchiha brothers is that the stronger will take the younger’s Sharingan for a spare.
All revelation now boils down to the encounter of the last Sharingan siblings. Naruto Manga 387 may hold the answer between the brothers’ fate.

So did itachi and madara kill al the uchihas so nobody would be able to surpass them?

probably, probably not.
if they killed the uchihas to stay on top, what did madara need itachi for? to help him kill the whole clan? granted that that is the reason, why did madara allowed itachi’s spare to live?
i think madara doesnt mind if others attain a permanent mangekyou as long as they share his views.

Because everyone thought Madara was DEAD. MAdara needed Itachi, som1 on the inside, to kill them off so he wouldn’t have to risk his cover.
