ISNC Advisory 2008-01

Yesterday, my site had been down for almost 7 hours due to CPU excess usage. It looks like I’ve had too many scripts running on my sites. :D So today, I decided to trim it down to the basics, disabling the following features:

  • You will no longer receive comment email responses from me. Should you desire to follow the conversation in the comments area, please subscribe to the comments or visit back.
  • Only the part of my post before the ‘more’ tag will be available in the feed. To read the full post, you now need to visit the site.
  • Word verification for comments are now removed.
  • Footnotes are now disabled.

Sorry for any inconvenience that these changes might bring you. I’m looking forward to restoring them as soon as things get settled. Also, I’m considering transferring to a better webhost and would appreciate any feedback or advice you can give me. Thanks. :D

    I noticed, but never worry, we understand.

    Since I am only a ’sub-user’ of my blog (so grateful from the generosity of Ms Beng Hafner) as much as possible, I’d put a limit on how much disk storage space my account may use such as mp3 files, etc. I didn’t know that some scripts can overflow the use of space too?

    K,
    there’s actually no problem with me consuming up all of my disk space but it seems that scripts are taking a lot of something (memory i guess) since it executes a lot of operation every page reload.

    about the mp3 file, i convert mine into 64kbps reducing it to half it’s file size. :D

    mabait na at sexy, ang generous pa ng host mo talaga, imagine no prob with space consumption *LMAO!* buseet lang talaga ang BH na yan! madamot sa cpu usage!

    ganyan din naging problema kodati sa freehostia. biruinmo 10 mb lang pala ang cpu usage ko doon. eh gawa ako g gawa ng post at lagay ako ng lagay ng plugin, buti na lang may page ph. haha

    ei eto mabuti naman. may balita na ba sa exam result mo?

    hirap tlga kapag may mga limit sa hosting. kaya nga in search ako ngayon for a new host.
