Naruto Manga 381: Will Jiraiya Live To Tell The Tale?

December 8, 2007

When one of the Rikudous fell dead after a seemingly suicidal attempt of charging into his barrier and managing to hurt him with a weapon that caused his chakra to go crazy, Jiraiya noticed the scar in the corpse’s forehead. Jiraiya remembered from years back, a man from the Fuuma Clan that tried to ambush him who looks exactly like this Rikudou. That scar was of his making.

With this development, amidst his critical condition, Jiraiya decides to discover the true identity of Pain. With the lady toad taking the Rikudou corpse and all the information they’ve learned so far back to Tsunade, Jiraiya and the male toad left the barrier in order to face Pain once more.

Time For Best Wishes

December 7, 2007

A lot of my friends have decided to tie the knot this month of December. Needless to say, our circle of friends is a little occupied as well in lending a hand with all the preparations.

With things to settle like invitation layouts, place of ceremony, reception area, outfits, cakes, florist, program, list of songs, stag party, bridal shower favors, and a whole lot of coordinating and follow-ups to do, you can’t help but be thankful for friends who are more than willing to assist.

I am happy for all of you guys. Now, you’ll start to journey life with a better half. May your love for each other grow more with each passing day. Next thing we’ll know, we’ll be planning and helping out with baby shower favors and baptism favors.

Scott Simons – Umbrella

December 7, 2007

Cross Covers
Looks like Rihanna made a big hit out of Umbrella that a lot of artists have made a cover out of the song. Though I can’t find the album cover (perhaps because there isn’t any) for Scott Simons’ rendition, I think he did a good job on this one.

For the first time in his career, Scott is flying solo as both a songwriter and performer. As the primary songwriter of The Argument, Simons became adept at writing hooky pop songs with incredibly infectious melodies.

“I’m just trying to be honest with who I am and what I write,” he says. “And that’s the main thing driving my new career. When I was writing for the band, I started to become afraid that I was running out of tricks or my ideas didn’t fit in the context of the band. But now I figure, I’ve been writing for awhile and ive written a lot of stuff. I am what I am.”

Making My List

December 6, 2007

UPDATED:
Dec08 – added a forgotten inaanak at [11]

As explained by Bluepanjeet:

A Ninong and Ninang’s responsibility is to aid the parents of their “inaanak” in upbringing the child as a mature, Christian person. But aside from this responsibility is the famous Pinoy tradition of giving Christmas gifts to their respective Godchildren during Christmas.

The Purpose of this meme is to keep track on our own Godchildren’s list wherein often times we unconsciously or consciously forget each and one of them as their numbers grow through each passing year.

Root Cyclone House Cleaning

December 5, 2007

I rarely win in raffle contests. The last time I did, I took home for myself a vacuum cleaner which we rarely use for the following reasons:

  1. We find it unnecessary to use since our home is not carpeted;
  2. The appliance is bulky and quite unmanageable since it is not an upright type;
  3. We need to clean the vacuum at one point of cleaning so as to get its best performance; and
  4. I find cleaning the filter a hassle.

We would have no problem with the above issues, except for item 1; if ours was made by Dyson since theirs have what they call Root Cyclone technology. With this technology, there is no need for bags or filters since it separates dirt and dust from the air by centrifugal force and collects it in a bin.

Also, shopping for Dyson parts have never been easy. Just visit their site, click on the images that applies to the vacuum you own and your on your way to buying replacement parts for your appliance.

Fill Me In

I once read that the heart of man will forever remain restless until it finds its rest in God. I agree. God is not in hiding. In fact, He is continually inviting us all to enter in to His presence. Some accepts the invitation yet the feeling of emptiness remains. The question now is, “what are you hiding”?

Is there an issue that you are running away from fearing that the answer will not be the one you are expecting? You can cower away, but even that will not take the emptiness away.

This holiday season, may we all learn what we are looking for.

Click Flick: I love the way how the photo interpreted the emptiness that we sometimes go through. It showed what our words sometimes fail to express… my heart is void, I want meaning.

I’m Dreaming Of A White Musk Christmas

December 2, 2007

For someone like me who only uses perfumes during special and rare occasions, perfume shopping is no regular activity. In fact, I do not remember ever buying one for myself. The five perfumes I own today were gifts given by my aunt. Though I am not an aficionado, it doesn’t mean that I wear just about anything. I only go for the mild scents since the strong ones make me sneeze.

Giving perfumes as gifts requires careful considerations. You have to take note of the person’s skin type as fragrances react differently on individuals. For me, white musk is one of the scents I really like. Its mild, powdery, and sweet fragrance gives me a refreshing feeling especially during warm weathers. I am even seriously considering of getting one this Christmas but I do hope Santa fill my stocking with one before I hit the store.

Christmas Every Day

December 2, 2007

“Sing praises to the LORD…Tell the nations what he has done.”
Psalm 9:11

You have Christmas every day. Your gift bears, not toys and books, but God himself! His work: on the cross and in the resurrection. As a result, your sin brings no guilt, and the grave brings no fear.

His energy: it’s not up to you. You can do all things through Christ, who gives you strength.

His lordship: he is in charge of you and looks out for you.

His love: what can separate you from it?

Who could imagine such gifts? Who could imagine not opening them?

Naruto Manga 380: Face-Offs!

December 2, 2007

In Naruto Manga 380: That Face…!, Jiraiya backs up my earlier observation that Pain (or one of him) indeed looks like Yahiko. However, this sends Jiraiya to more confusion since he knows that it is Nagato who possesses the Rinnegan but none of the six looks like him.

And as “god” made their concerted attack, the manga takes us to another face-off. This time, between two, long departed brothers – Sasuke and Itachi.
