Bands Sing For Christmas
![]()
Jars of Clay is a popular Christian alternative pop group. Their sound has varied over the years as the band has flirted with folk, rock, trip-hop, gospel, and hymn song.
Their self-titled album, which featured layered acoustic guitars over programmed trip-hop beats, is widely considered one of the greatest Christian rock albums. This is a bit of a misnomer, possibly caused by the use of drums on “Flood”, the band’s biggest hit, (it hit #37 on the Billboard Hot 100 and hitting #12 on the Modern Rock charts).

Illusions

Perhaps God somehow allowed it in order to know those with the heart to obey. Because He can only see those who are attentive when all the things in the world is screaming at the person and yet he still managed to hear His still small voice. For only His sheep will know His voice.
Click Flick: Nice blue sky and a good composition that took me some time to figure out what it is. I think a good photo is not all about hues and colors but also of composition. Composition that makes one pause to think.
Sizzling Truth Behind The Hottest Pinay Scandal
December 17, 2007
When I published the post The Hottest Pinay Scandal in support to Macuha’s SEO Pinay Scandal Experiment, I wasn’t really thinking of how many traffic this post will add up to my site. I just wanted to provide an alternative information to those searching the web for Pinay Scandals. I wanted to inform the scandal seekers that Pinays have a lot more to offer than sexual pleasure. They are also an epitome and contributor of our national pride.
God Sent Himself

“The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.”
John 1:14 NKJV
Don’t we love the word “with”? “Will you go with me?” we ask. “To the store, to the hospital, through my life?” God says he will. “I am with you always,” Jesus said before he ascended to heaven, “to the very end of the age” (Matt. 28:20 NIV). Search for restrictions on the promise; you’ll find none. You won’t find “I’ll be with you if you behave…when you believe. I’ll be with you on Sundays in worship…at mass.” No, none of that. There’s no withholding tax on God’s “with” promise. He is with us.
God is with us.
Prophets weren’t enough. Apostles wouldn’t do. Angels won’t suffice. God sent more than miracles and messages. He sent himself; he sent his Son. “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.”

By the looks of it, the battle between Pain and Jiraiya has finally come to a conclusion.
As Jiraiya slips in to unconsciousness, he can’t help but think that his life is just a long list of failures: turned down by Tsunade, unable to save his friend Orochimaru, unable to protect his teacher Sarutobi and his student Minato, and now failed to stop Pain and Akatsuki.
The true measure of a shinobi is not how he lives but how he dies. What matters is not what they do in life; but what they do before dying, which proves their worth.
Comparing himself to the great Hokages who came before him, he sees his accomplishments as petty and insignificant. He wanted to be granted one great final adventure before he die. To die a death befitting of a true shinobi.
Elvis Costello – Beautiful

Cross Covers
I enjoyed watching the first season of House, M.D. and there is one particular song that I easily became interested in. Imagine Elvis Costello doing a Cristina Aguilera!

In the early 1970s Costello was a participant in London’s pub rock scene with the group Flip City. Then in 1977 along with fellow Pub-Rockers Nick Lowe and Ian Dury he made his first releases on the independent label Stiff, tailoring his work towards the punk and new wave scenes. From 1980′s Armed Forces onwards, however, other influences including soul, country, 1960s pop, and classical music began to re-emerge, and he soon became established as a unique and original voice. His output has been wildly diverse: one critic has written that “Costello, the pop encyclopedia, can reinvent the past in his own image”.

Changing Signs

Stop counting your failures, stop dwelling on the negatives, shut your ears from people saying not so good things about you. Look within and know the real you. Let the truth sink in… you are loved.
Life is not something to be merely endured, it is to be experienced and lived.

Gifts To Last For All Season
December 10, 2007
We went to the World Bazaar at the World Trade Center and I was able to complete my gifts for my godchildren. Well, almost. I’m still one gift short.
When I was a child, Christmas excites me for the gifts that I’ll be receiving. Now, for the gifts that I’ll be giving. Yup! I found joy in giving.
However, giving need not be limited only for things that can be wrapped up as a present and shared only during Christmas. For more than our Christmas presents, most people need a gift of friendship that last throughout the year.
Below are some priceless gifts listed by someone named Willie Guina. Perhaps someone you know asked Santa for one of these this holiday season.

A Deutschland Tour
December 10, 2007
Since my aunt and her family are permanently based in Hamburg, I once dreamt as a kid of visiting Germany. But since some issues came between her and my mom, I’ve scratched off the possibility of going there and staying under their care.
I’d rather check in any hotels in deutschland and create my own adventure. I think it’ll be better that way as there are some cribs that are cheaper than hotels.
I’ll probably grab a list of hotels in berlin and enjoy a day of arts and architecture hopping from the Pergamon Museum, to the Brandenburge Gates, and to the Schloss Charlottenburg.
A feast for the eye must be coupled with a feast for the appetite of course. I wouldn’t miss to try their foods though I’ll probably pass on mashed potatoes.
Adventures such as this must be aided with a tourist map. Otherwise, I might end up standing in front of wien hotels in Austria.
Deliver Christ to the World

“Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter.”
Exodus 20:9-10 NKJV
God knows us so well. He can see the store owner reading this verse and thinking, “Somebody needs to work that day. If I can’t, my son will.” So God says, Nor your son. “Then my daughter will.” Nor your daughter…“I guess I’ll have to send my cow to run the store, or maybe I’ll find some stranger to help me.” No, God says. One day of the week you will say no to work and yes to worship. You will slow and sit down and lie down and rest.
Still we object…“What about my grades?” “I’ve got my sales quota.” We offer up one reason after another, but God silences them all with a poignant reminder: “In six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day.” God’s message is plain: “If creation didn’t crash when I rested, it won’t crash when you do.”
Repeat these words after me: It is not my job to run the world.
