By the looks of it, the battle between Pain and Jiraiya has finally come to a conclusion. 
As Jiraiya slips in to unconsciousness, he can’t help but think that his life is just a long list of failures: turned down by Tsunade, unable to save his friend Orochimaru, unable to protect his teacher Sarutobi and his student Minato, and now failed to stop Pain and Akatsuki.
The true measure of a shinobi is not how he lives but how he dies. What matters is not what they do in life; but what they do before dying, which proves their worth.
Comparing himself to the great Hokages who came before him, he sees his accomplishments as petty and insignificant. He wanted to be granted one great final adventure before he die. To die a death befitting of a true shinobi.
In this trip back to memory lane, he remembered his conversations with Minato and Kushina. How they saw him as a shinobi whose life is worthy of example, who refuses to give up just like the hero in the first book he had written - Naruto. That is why they decided to name their first born as such and made him as his godfather. He can’t help but be glad that Naruto turned out the way his parents wanted him to be… living a ninja way of not backing out of his words.
The student’s ninja way should also be the master’s, and with that thought Jiraiya willed himself back to life in order to do one last task of passing the information he learned to Pa and relay it to the Sage Toad. The choice he had to make is not to give up hope that his last student, Naruto, will usher in a time of peace as the destined child.

Naruto Manga 382: My Real Decision! will probably bring out the cry baby in all Naruto manga followers. It was an emotional and touching journey on the life of Jiraiya. I can’t help but be sad to think that Tsunade’s end is nearing as well as Kishimoto, it seems, have decided to seal the time of the Sannins.

with orochimaru dead, i think this will be jiraiya’s and by the looks of it, tsunade’s final walk is also inevitable.
however, i am not totally convinced that we have seen the last of Orochimaru and with that, all ive said boils down to nothing.
Dang I didnt even think of that, now tsunade is the last sanin. Man this is so sad!

she is indeed the remaining sannin and i think if oro and jiraiya are indeed dead… tsunade might be next.

He is always my favorite character in Naruto mange. He is really a true Ninja. It’s really sad that it ends like this.
All Ninja countries now should take the revenge of Jiraiya’s death. For me, the remain of Naruto manga will be named as the black era of Konoha….
