Fill Me In

Have you ever felt empty? Like there is a huge void in you that no amount of riches, fame, or success can ever fill. I did. I do.
I once read that the heart of man will forever remain restless until it finds its rest in God. I agree. God is not in hiding. In fact, He is continually inviting us all to enter in to His presence. Some accepts the invitation yet the feeling of emptiness remains. The question now is, “what are you hiding”?
Is there an issue that you are running away from fearing that the answer will not be the one you are expecting? You can cower away, but even that will not take the emptiness away.
This holiday season, may we all learn what we are looking for.
Click Flick: I love the way how the photo interpreted the emptiness that we sometimes go through. It showed what our words sometimes fail to express… my heart is void, I want meaning.

I’m Catholic, but I feel I’m losing my faith each day. With all my health problems piling up and financial trouble incoming, I have to ask, “What did I do to deserve this?”
I’ll bet someone’s going to say “At least you’re not a starving child in Africa” or “At least you still got both your legs”, but tell me- am I supposed to feel better because someone’s got it worse? It’s no consolation, really. I don’t think you’ll hear me say “Oh wow, then I should be happy I have Diabetes!”.
I’m sorry man, but I’m slowly leaning to agnostic. I’d really rather not believe he exists that be angry with him.

IRON PUGILIST,
i know what you are saying. learning that someone is going through tougher times than you do not bring comfort since it does not take the pain away. but the existence of pain does not mean the absence of God. personally, i cant imagine how more painful things will be for me if God left me alone in my misery.
im not convincing you that there is a God. if there is, He can do the convincing better than i can. i only hope that things become better for you and that you can get some loving.
have a great day!

Once in a while I’d felt that. It cut’s like a knife. Sometimes we just have to learn to feel from the inside out – and to control ourself from the inside out while letting go of all that, is outside of ourself. We always have the power to change it. And no matter what, we really can do it. You know it is really up to you.
Life is not something to be merely endured, it is to be experienced and lived.
