The God Who Follows

“The upright shall dwell in Your presence.”
Psalm 140:14 NKJV

Lazarus was three days dead in a sealed tomb when he heard a voice, lifted his head, and looked over his shoulder and saw Jesus standing. God had followed him into death.

Peter had denied his Lord and gone back to fishing when he heard his name and looked over his shoulder and saw Jesus cooking breakfast. God had followed him in spite of his failure.

God is the God who follows. I wonder…have you sensed him following you? We often miss him…But he comes.

Through the kindness of a stranger. The majesty of a sunset. The mystery of romance. Through the question of a child or the commitment of a spouse. Through a word well spoken or a touch well timed, have you sensed his presence?

Naruto Manga 384: Itachi Nailed Down

In Naruto Manga 384: Brothers’ Paths, Sasuke finally managed to nail down Itachi… so it seems. I guess in a battle between this siblings, you can never fully conclude the winner until the manga declare so.

But Itachi is right in saying that Sasuke has indeed grown strong for managing to pierce his sword on him twice in one manga chapter alone. We’re just not sure if the second was indeed the real Itachi or just another genjutsu clone. If it is the real thing, funny that the battle only lasted for one manga chapter. I guess we will be hearing a lot of revelations on the coming chapters when Itachi answers his little brother’s query.

Relient K is a Christian pop-punk/rock band. They were formed in 1998 in Canton, Ohio. The band named themselves after guitarist Matt Hoopes’ Plymouth Reliant K car. The band has received numerous awards including a Grammy nomination in 2003 for Best Rock Gospel Album and two Dove Awards.

Christmas Rest

Originally uploaded by drumsnwhistles

I noticed that a lot of house in our neighborhood retired earlier than the previous years. Lights and videokes were already off around 6pm.

As I woke up on Christmas morning, I noticed that I’ve lost the excitement I had when I was a kid. Though I did enjoy preparing for my godchildren’s gifts, the magic of Christmas day was gone. If Santa’s sleigh is indeed powered by Christmas spirit, old Nick would have to take the bus.

I guess Christmas is indeed for kids and without any in our house, it has been like any other ordinary day. An ordinary day with LOTS of visitors.

Click Flick: The pug seemed to have been wearied by the Christmas rush. The picture’s almost sepia tone enhanced the dog’s expression and have highlighted the red Santa hat.

Christmas Time Is Here!

May you all enjoy a meaningful Christmas
and a wonderful New Year.

Boxed Up In The Mail

I like the thought that there is a season in a year where people become more giving. I’m not usually concerned with the worth of the item. It is the thought of being remembered that I value. Especially now that traffic is heavy and commodities are pricey, I treasure people’s effort to go out of their way just to give me something for Christmas whether through mailboxes or personally hand carried. It feels good to be remembered.

I consider myself sentimental. So the persons closest to my heart often receive letters expressing how much I value them. I feel the need for such as I believe that no item, no matter how expensive, will be able to express a person’s worth to me. My gift is my word, written to stand the test of time.

With that, I think that residential mailboxes and commercial mailboxes as well, should be reliable enough to weather the seasons. Surely, you don’t want important letters and precious greetings be spoiled just because of poor quality mailboxes.

Love that Lasts Forever

“Love never fails.”
I Corinthians 13:8 NIV

“Love,” Paul says, “never fails.”

The verb Paul uses for the word fail is used elsewhere to describe the demise of a flower as it falls to the ground, withers, and decays. It carries the meaning of death and abolishment. God’s love, says the apostle, will never fall to the ground, wither, and decay. By its nature, it is permanent. It is never abolished.

Love “will last forever” (NLT).
It “never dies” (MSG).
It “never ends” (RSV).
Love “is eternal” (TEV).
God’s love “will never come to an end” (NEB)…

Governments will fail, but God’s love will last. Crowns are temporary, but love is eternal. Your money will run out, but his love never will.

Love A Lamp

If you want to project a relaxing and cozy mood in your home or even in your very room, surely, lamps can do an excellent job at such. You just have to find a matching design and the ideal wattage rating to attain such mood.

Today’s tools and machines have made it possible for a whole new array of lamp designs to be available including casual, contemporary, natural, tiffany, utility, traditional, and transitional.

We do not have much lamps and lamp shades in our home. Someday, I do plan to have one of those contemporary floor lamps out there but until then; mine that has a cover made from paper will do while I spend the night on my computer.

Naruto Manga 383: Pain’s True Identity In Coded Message

Naruto Manga 383: The Epilogue, And The…!! seems to serves as an interim from one great battle to another, probably to the Uchiha brothers’.

At the last moment, Jiraiya managed to leave a “dying man’s message” coded as numbers at the back of Pa. Though Pain attempted to stop Pa by firing off a cannoned arm, the toad managed to escape. However, with the ground on which Jiraiya lays shattered, Ero Sennin drifts down to the bottom of the waters and into the darkness while thinking of a title for his next book. We last saw him with a smile on his face.

The City Of Light And Love

Upon reading one of his books, I instantly became a Dan Brown fan. Why? Because aside from the exciting story plot that he managed to weave, he successfully instilled a desire in my heart to visit Europe and see face to face the numerous settings were his story took place.

I suggest that if you are a modern architecture and art fan or simply a beach and nature lover; go grab an Australia Hotel Guide instead. For I personally think that Europe is the place for classic arts. So if ever an opportunity to visit Paris came knocking at your door, please, never fail to carry a city guide with you. You surely wouldn’t want to hear yourself saying, “God! I missed that one!” But I guess that with Paris, any path you take will lead you to an incredible place.
