Ilog Maria – Honeybee Farm

Went on a trip one Saturday afternoon to Silang, Cavite to visit a honeybee farm called Ilog Maria.
Ilog Maria sells different products containing honey, beeswax, pollen, propolis, royal jelly, and bee venom as their active ingredients. Some of these products include: throat spray, ointment, liniment, soaps, toothpaste, aromatherapy oils, and candles.
One cannot fully appreciate the benefits of this products if he knows nothing about honeys except that it is sweet and is produced by bees. From the Ilog Maria website, we can learn the following facts:
Honey is an emollient – it makes skin softer, a humectant – it pulls moisture from the surrounding air, a disinfectant, a cleanser, a preservative, a healing agent and a toner for the digestive system especially the stomach and liver, it is also a lubricant for the intestines.
Honey Cider Vinegar is the very best “transdermal delivery agent” that naturally penetrates your skin to reach the underlying layers of tissues and muscles. It is also a good digestive aid, lubricates your intestines and balances your body chemistry – making it alkaline in reaction – thus detoxifying it of accumulated acids.
Propolis is a natural preservative and has a strong disinfecting property. It inhibits the growth of bacteria, viruses and fungi. It also strengthens your immune system.
We bought a propolis throat spray for PhP70 to ease my Dad’s smoker’s cough. We also bought a lip balm which is non-sticky and leaves a cooling effect to the lips. Took home some aromatheraphy oils as well.
So next time you decide to visit Tagaytay, make sure to drop by to Ilog Maria. You could also order their products online and have it delivered to you.

I’ve been looking for this product here in Pinoy store. I saw this being featured last summer on TV (channel 7 ata) and I was inspired kung paano lumaki at pinalaki yung negosyo nila (out of bees). Amazing.
And wow, they have now essential oils. I’m interested to get an online order. TY sa links.
