Weight Concerns Men As Well

A few years back, you only hear women complaining on how heavy they’ve become. Now, the same concern is being echoed by men as well. Imagine me and a guy friend trying to lose weight in time for our friend’s wedding this coming December. Haha!
Society has conditioned our minds to envy those who are slim. Images of buff and sexy models high on a billboard pedestal populate the main avenue of the metro. This thinking made its way to common people who felt that their regular built and ordinary bodies are somehow below the standard of beauty.
With this, those who can afford the cost of liposuction chose the easier path while those who do not have money to spare or simply prefers to take the natural way ends up inside the gyms.
As for me, I promised myself a week ago that I’ll start doing brisk walking every other morning but the cool weather always pins me down to my bed. Tomorrow will be another day to try.

sadly, your right. i also think there are still many who have been brain washed and just want to look good, thus giving birth to the term bigorexia and perhaps the conditions anorexia and bulimia.
fitness and wellness are far different from just giving in to the norms of society aesthetically.
