Tahiti 80 – Heartbeat
November 16, 2007 · Filed Under All Entries, TGIF
Let’s turn left in our cruise trip to French pop boy band road. With the song’s catchy beat, synth-like style, and hard to understand pronunciation of the lyrics, it was love at first hearing for me. Give the guys a chance. Enjoy!

Tahiti 80 is an English-language French pop group formed in 1993 in Rouen, France.
The group’s name originates from a slogan on a t-shirt. Their music resembles pop with soul tendencies. They have encountered a fair amount of success in Japan, notably.
Composed of four members (three of whom sing), the group makes use of guitar, percussion/drums, bass guitar, programming and keyboards.

Lyrics of Heartbeat by Tahiti 80
Enough for me is not much for you
Won’t you forgive me that’s all I can do
Can you feel my heartbeat
When I’m close to you
I’ll never find another way to say
I love you more each day
It’s quite romantic I know
That’s how I wanna feel today…
I wanna feel this way
Can you feel my heartbeat
When I’m close to you
I’ll never find another way to say
I love you more each day
It’s quite romantic I know
That’s how I wanna feel today
I wanna feel this way, today
Can you feel my heartbeat
Can you feel my heartbeat
Can you feel my heartbeat
When I’m close to you
I’ll never find, no I’ll never find
Another way to say
I love you more each day

My kind of music. There’s this “Feist” and “The Brand New Heavies” plus “Jamiroquia” in their music.
So upbeat.
