EDSA Garden House - An Herb Land In Quezon City

October 22, 2007 · Print This Article

Last October 19, EDSA Garden House opened its doors to the public especially to herb lovers. Too bad we didn’t made it on the first day where plants, regularly priced at 3 for 100 or PhP50 each, were sold for only PhP25. I would have acquired 16 plants. Too bad…

Anyway, I was really not planning of setting up an herb garden. I was just suppose to accompany Jeprocks who plans of giving one as a house warming gift for his client/friend. Thanks to the store’s effective way of informing people on the uses of those plants and after enjoying the smell of the varied mints available, I had a change of mind.

I got for myself the following herbs: lemon grass, malvarosa, cat whiskers, basil, chocolate mint, lemon mint, tarragon, lavender, gotu kola, and another one which I forgot the name manzanilla. Other available herb includes aloe vera, pandan, dill, java mint, peppermint, swiss mint, rosemary, and a whole lot more. I’ll be showing you my herb garden in a later post. I actually have plans of going back to grab more of those mints.

The EDSA Garden House is located at the Manila Seedling Bank (EDSA corner Quezon Ave. in Quezon City) just beneath those gigantic billboards in that area. A free unlimited pandan juice is available for store patrons.

Those carts actually caught my attention.

I wonder if our Centennial Airport would upgrade those ugly carts, it’s way way too old na talaga but at least I don’t have to pay for the cart anymore.

    BENG,

Do you use wheatgrass or have markets that use wheatgrass.
We have frozen shots available and can send to you.

    Regards Ian.
