Naruto Manga 373: An Eye Technique Surpassing Even The Sharingan?
October 6, 2007 · Filed Under All Entries, Entertainment
In Naruto Manga 373: The Student/Teacher Era, we learned some surprising facts about Nagato’s ripple-patterned eyes, the Rin Negan. It is considered to be the most powerful among the three ((i’m guessing the byakugan and the sharingan to be the other two)) great eye techniques. The “Sage of the Six Paths” who gave birth to ninjutsus and the whole ninja world, were the only ones known possessing it. Jiraiya even believed it to be as mere myths and folktales before seeing it for himself in Nagato’s eyes.
Jiraiya decided to teach Konan, Nagato, and Yahiko how to use ninjutsu so that they could be able to defend their lives should incidence like that with the Iwagakure ninja happens again.
After three years of training, Jiraiya finally decides to return back to Konoha and send his three students back to their own country and contribute to its change. However, it seems that the three kids had a difficult life ever since Jiraiya send them off.

I always see this in your blog but I never really understand the content. MY nephews would understand them better than me, I’m more of an 80′s cartoon fan than an anime follower. LOL I once watched this last year on Channel 2 when the hero guy multiplied into gazillion Narutos. I laughed so hard at that scene.. it was like multiple man. then I watched it until the end of the story and it was great. But I did not have anymore chance to watch the following episodes.. don’t know why.

BLUE,
multiplied to a gazillion times – that’s called kage bunshin times two times two times two. hahaha!
nahuli kasi ng anime na ito ang interest ko from the very beginning. im a sucker for stories about friendship and i really want to know how sasuke’s and naruto’s will end up and if naruto will indeed be a hokage.
the series also has a very good story line.

Hey here’s a quick thought, what does everyone else think. If Baykugan allows their users to perform some of the most powerful taigitsu attacks; and if Sharingan allows their users to perform some of the most powerful ninjitsu attacks; is it possible that the newly introduced Rinnegan allows their users to perfom some of the most powerful gengitsu attacks? (Especially if everyone considers that Chuunin who caught a very horrible and mysterious death)
Does anyone else find all this new “additions” to Naruto very interesting but very annoying at the same time? Some of it is starting to remind of some bad card game rules..like…gasp!…pokemon!…”shivers”. (i.e. Different elemental chakra’s, super effective techniques, the three eyes, the 6 paths, etc.)

ISAAC,
there is a possibility that the three doujutsu is anchored on a specific attack type. but i am guessing that the sharingan, though has the ability to see through all three jutsu, is actually based on genjutsu while the rinnegan is to ninjutsu. but i am expecting more since manga 373 declared that rinnegan is the most powerful of the three.
I really cannot comment on how pokemon-like naruto have become since pokemon failed to catch my fancy thus, I really have no much knowledge about it.
im sure on one thing though, i cant wait to see how events will eventually unfold. hehehe.

iRonnie,
About the Sharingan, though it is able to do that cool gengitsu blood moon thing it is also capable of performing the ultimate black fire technique and Kakashi is able to do that trans-dimensional warp thing. All of the Uchiha’s were all expert jounin and I assume that their speciality was ninjitsu which is why in general sharingan users are able to be ninjitsu master’s. And let us not forget that they are capable of copying ninjitsu as well.
Rinnegan as the ultimate ninjitsu possibly? I’m not so sure about that. Pain as a child without any knowledge of handseals or chakra molding killed that chuunin by just looking at him . That seems like some sort of super mental blast, thus why I think it might be some super gengitsu eye. What do you think?
Also I just hate that Naruto is becoming so franchised. Super effective attacks not being introduced until late into the manga/series. That’s so lame, it’s like they want to make a card game out of it like pokemon. And now the horrible Naruto Shippuuden episodes mimicking DBZ with pointless episodes that cover nothing (i.e. stares that last 20 seconds and only talking). I watched DBZ as a teen and am no longer able to stand another anime, its just painful to watch. Manga all the way!!!

ISAAC,
since you brought up the idea of each doujutsu being more inclined in a specific attack type, i just thought that it is more possible that the rinnegan be the one specializing in ninjutsu since in this manga chapter, jiraiya said that the rinnegan is possessed by the father of the ninja world, whose knowledge and skill gave birth to ninjutsu itself. with that, it only leaves genjutsu for the sharingan. though the sharingan enables the bearer to perform a lot of ninjutsu, most of them are copied (except for the amaterasu and that of kakashi’s).
however, with the description about the sage of six paths, i am actually expecting the rinnegan to be more. im thinking that it could be a complete jutsu. well, let’s just wait for kishimoto-san.
also, we really do not know if nagato killed the chuunin just by looking at them since it was not clearly shown. nagato in fact told jiraiya that he blacked out or went out of his mind.
btw, i thought that the sage of six path is a clan but others are implying that it is just one person that is reincarnating. what’s your take on that?

Good point and I agree with the sage guy being the father of all ninjitsu. Hmm…about the same guy reincarnating again and again, umm that would be pushing it even for Naruto. I have no assumption on that guy only that he might have some connection with the bijuu because of the “animal like” ears he had on his head. But who knows? This manga is going in so many different directions its hard to guess anymore.
By the way I found this:
Episode Synopsis
Naruto 252 – As everyone looks on in amazement Chiyo revives Gaara.
Naruto 253 – Gaara has his weird dream sequence with Naruto and he is revived.
Naruto 254 – Gaara gets up greets everyone and they start to depart.
Naruto 252 – Sakura stops to tighten her boots everyone watches in amazement.
Naruto 25…..
Naruto 260 – Next mission finally recieved!
With how slow Naruto Shippuden is taking I can stop watching for about a year and I swear they would just be meeting Sai for the first time. lol Jesus…

ISAAC,
hahaha! i have to agree that the manga was taking its sweet time at the start of shipuuden. im just glad that the anime is covering the events in a faster rate. i also like the way they came up with a teaser on their first episode.
im somehow contented with the way things are going now. i cant wait to see if naruto will ever be a hokage and how his friendship with sasuke will eventually turn out.
