There’s no such thing as a grown-up…
we move on, we move out,
we move away from our families and form our own…
But the basic insecurities,the basic fears
and all those old wounds just grow up with us…
We get bigger, we get taller, we get older…
But, for the most part, we’re still a bunch of kids,
running around the playground,
trying desperately to fit in…
I see a bit of truth in Meredith Grey’s statement above, for I myself is experiencing something similar. I may have matured in thinking and principles through the years, yet I can still see traces of weaknesses, insecurities, and fears which have started way back. I am not excusing myself, nor am I planning to live up with it. I do not want to outgrow it either, what I want is to overcome.

nakakatawa how people expect things from you kasi you have “grown up”. pero ngayon that i have, nararamdaman ako im still the same person i was ten years ago. the person with the same fears, same insecurities. i guess we will never really completely mature. there will always be a child in us.
glad you liked the songs. i loved this song since the first time i heard the album like 10 years ago.

For me it is rather important to cherish, even nurture the child in us since it fears, laughs, cry, feel pain, gets insecure but most of all, it is our honest part. Think of what Jesus said about the children! And that my friend, makes that child important in our lives.
Though you may still see the traces of what you have mentioned above, just continue moving forward and aim for what’s good for you. Stay in tune with God’s plan in your life.

the playground just gets bigger and so as the obstacles. the only difference is that we lost the joy in playing and are being weighed down by the obstacles. our fault i assume. let’s enjoy life! success and failures all together!
