My Social Dilemma

September 13, 2007 · Filed Under All Entries, iRonnie

Despite having a personal blog, I still want to maintain a level of privacy.

A few days back, I decided to sign-up in Facebook. However, I decided to deactivate my account just after I finished setting it up. I do not have any problems using my real surname for search purposes but I just wished that they have an option to make it private at the very least.

Anyway, for Facebook users out there, PC World just published an article that Facebook will now make their listings public via search engines. So if you want to stay hidden from strangers, be sure to change your privacy settings.

On the other hand, I am confused on what site to use: Twitter or Pownce? I like Pownce interface more yet it seems that more people are using Twitter. If you have either or both of those accounts, please take the liberty to add me to your network. I will gladly appreciate it. It’s lonely to be alone out there. :D

Most people aren’t gonna have enough brains to change their privacy settings. They’d rather attack Facebook or call Geek Squad to fix it.

Ron, I share the same sentiments with you in FaceBook or Friendster accounts. Not that my blog is marked as private, (where I also post picture of myself nowadays), I’d still think that we need to reserved a little privacy “for US only”. If I started a blog when I was a little younger, I would plaster a whole face of myself in every post I can think of. I also have a twitter account and forgive me, I’m clueless about how those thing works.

Well, keep it this way, it’s more exciting.
