What Love Does

“I was without clothes, and you gave me something to wear.”
Matthew 25:36
What if you were given the privilege of Mary? What if God himself were placed in your arms as a naked baby? Would you not do what she did? “She wrapped the baby with pieces of cloth” (Luke 2:7).
The baby Jesus, still wet from the womb, was cold and chilled. So this mother did what any mother would do; she did what love does: She covered him.
Wouldn’t you cherish an opportunity to do the same? You have one. Such opportunities come your way every day. Jesus said, “I was without clothes, and you gave me something to wear…I tell you the truth, anything you did for even the least of my people here, you also did for me” (Matt. 25: 36, 40).

There is indeed an opportunity to help before us everyday however, I dismiss such opportunities most of the time. It’s not that I simply do not care. I just choose not to act.
I can state a lot of reason for such decision but no matter how many reasons I present, it will not outweigh my passivity.
It is never too late to redeem one’s mistake.

@CURACHA
yup, we all need to protect and clothe those who are in need of it.
@THESS
madali lang naman mag extend ng help lalo na at kakilala mo. the difficulty comes in helping those whom you do not really know.
@DOM
thanks for the reminder Dom.. I’ll try to be conscious on what I can do for someone.

I totally agree with this. in addition, the most difficult thing is when you help others without expecting anything in return. as a human being I once was like this and truly, practice makes perfect. I learned to help others without expecting anything in return. its very difficult at first because of the standard of the society that all must have a price. but when you always do it, nawawala ang pagiging gahaman. like helping others, nagiging bahagi na ng buhay pag laging ginagawa.
Mary has been example par excellence of this virtue of hers.

ang ganda nung sinabi ni Dom. It’s one of the principles that I’m trying to perfect.

it really take a lot of practice. sa una you have to make a conscious choice to help without expecting things in return. then kapag lagi mo ng ginagawa, nagiging parang second nature mo na.
thanks for the input BLUE.
