DEATH NOTE, how to use it:

  • The human whose name is written in this note shall die.
  • This note will not take effect unless the writer has the subject’s face in their mind when writing his/her name. Therefore, people sharing the same name will not be affected.
  • If the cause of death is written within 40 seconds of writing the subject’s name, it will happen.
  • If the cause of death is not specified, the subject will simply die of a heart attack.
  • After writing the cause of death, the details of the death should be written in the next 6 minutes and 40 seconds.

Death Note is a Japanese manga series originally written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata. The series primarily centers around a high school student who decides to rid the world of evil with the help of a supernatural notebook that kills anyone whose name is written in it. Death Note anime series commenced airing in Japan on October 3, 2006. It is one of those rare programs where the main character is actually the villain in the story. Hmm.. come to think of it, the villain will depend on whose reasoning you agree with. Overall, the story has a good build up of suspense as Light Yagami and Ryuuzaki outwits each other.

However, I do not recommend the program for young audiences since the series involved killings, deceptions, manipulations, and minimal sexual content on some occasions. Also, the story requires a mature thinking to be able to understand the deductions and follow the plot of the story.

Despite my liking of it, I regret the fact that what could have been a good friendship ended in such tragedy due to contrasting ideals. Though, with the story’s plot, that incident seemed inevitable.

The series is nearing its conclusion as episode 31 was already released last May 17. The series is originally scheduled for 37 episodes only.

With the wide success of the manga, the series has been adapted as well into a pair of live-action films released in Japan on June 17, 2006 and November 3, 2006 respectively.

i was able to watch the 1st episode of death note because of my friend na sobra sa pagpilit na panoorin ko tong anime na to.

the plot isn’t new at all. a person who wants to rid the world of evil whose means is “morally incorrect”. kung baga the end justifies the means type. we saw it already kay sensui shinobu ng yuu yuu hakusho and i’m sure may mga anime pa dyan na nakalimutan ko na na may character rin na ganun.hehe

sa animation naman. gothic na parang witch hunter robin pero maganda. so far, fluid naman ang animation. maganda ang drawing. pero mas maganda sa manga.hehe.

so far, nag enjoy ako and mas lalo akong naencourage na panoorin yung anime and basahin yung manga dahil sa entry mo.hehe

    thank you

Got something to say?
