Buri Beach Resort, Puerto Galera

May 21, 2007 · Print This Article

Since I had no vacation this summer of 2007, I decided to repost from my old blog my May 19-21, 2006 vacation. It was my second time in Puerto Galera but my first in Sabang. Prices might possibly changed in a year’s time but I guess the experience will still be the same. Enjoy!

Buri Beach Resort is the perfect hideaway for those seeking peace and tranquility. The resort overlooks the Batangas channel, away from the hustle and bustle of the major resort beaches, but within easy reach of all.

Package Inclusion.
The standard accommodation package includes a roundtrip public transfer via Sikat Transport from Citystate Tower Hotel in Malate to Buri Beach Resort, a daily set continental breakfast, snorkeling at the coral garden, complimentary use of resort facilities including non-motorized water sport equipment, service charge and government tax, and welcome drinks upon arrival.

Room Amenities.
A standard deluxe room has a queen sized bed with a ceiling fan and a personal refrigerator, an additional loft bedroom with a wall fan, a balcony with two bamboo lounge chairs, and a dresser room privately yours also is a spacious and clean bathroom and toilet which goes with a soap, shampoo, conditioner, and daily supply of towels.

Free Facilities.
The resort have a billiard table, chess board, dart board, and a swimming pool. yup! there is no beach front. that is the only thing I regret. Anyway if you really want to experience the beach, you could go on a 10-minute trek to Cocobeach. Kayaks, and snorkels are also free to use.

Paid Services Offered.
To further pamper their guests, services like foot spa, massage, manicure and pedicure are also offered for 350, 500, and 300 pesos respectively.

They also have facilities for water sports like water ski, jet ski, wake board, and banana boat. They also offer transport service to Muelle, Sabang, Bayanan, and White Beach via speedboat. However, transportation charge doubles after 6pm.

Foods and Drinks.
The resort specializes in Asian and Mediterranean cuisine and an entree costs an average of 250 pesos. The resort also serves breakfast, pasta, sandwiches, and desserts. It was my first time to eat a stir fried chicken with lemon capers and I really liked it. Beers, softdrinks, mineral water, coffee, hot choco, and cocktail drinks are also served.

Overall Personal Experience.
It was a relaxing and a good experience. The people at Buri were courteous and provided a good service. The place was indeed tranquil and peaceful. You can hear the birds chirping in the morning, and the crickets singing at night. You can relax by their pier and enjoy the sound of the waves. However, three days is enough for me as it tends to become dragging afterwards unless you have the finances to hop from place to place.

Since we were short of budget, we were not able to go to White Beach to eat kebab and drink a Mindoro sling. however, I was able to have a primer lesson on swimming and do some snorkeling. By the way, there are boatmen available at the coral garden who charges 100 pesos per person that can aide you to have a better view of the corals and fishes by dragging you across the sea.

Thank God for a break in monotony. ;)

Looks like a nice resort! Yung white beach daw kasi masyadong crowded at magulo. When we went to galera we didn’t go to white beach as well. Mukhang sulit naman ang place nyo
