Why will I not vote for Prospero Pichay? Let me count the reasons…

1. I think he has already spent too much money for his campaign. Whether the money came from his own pocket or donations from his friends and supporters, that big amount of spending will require big amount of repaying be it in money or in kind.
2. I NEVER heard of the said congressman prior to his decision to run for senator. Well, you can say that I am basing my vote on popularity. Partly true. It’s just that I believe that a good politician doesn’t go unnoticed.
3. The man have good and talented campaign team. However, I find his “dreams” like wishful thinkings. They overdid it to the point of being unrealistic which turned me off.
4. He exudes this aura of absolute faithfulness to the administration just like that of Mike Defensor. I am not against faithfulness, but I do want to see some backbone like that of Joker Arroyo. His constant defense for the president irritates me. I don’t want my senator to be always nodding and sits still when told.
5. Lastly, why I will not vote for Prospero Pichay? Because he wears his pants too high.

Okay, just to be fair, the man do have admirable qualities. I think it was brilliant to come up with a mascot. With that, he can campaign in two places at the same time. I have also watched him several times in discussion forums and compared to other candidates, he answers well. I admire his optimism amidst not managing to climb up to the top 15 of any survey. Too sad however that despite all that, he still failed to receive my sweet approval.

05/01/07 – Let me just clarify for those not well abreast with the local Philippine politics, it is not the platform of Pichay to provide the items mentioned above. It’s just me applying sarcasm on his campaign slogan “pangarap kong tuparin ang mga pangarap nyo ((translated in English, “I desire to fulfill your dreams.”))”. To further grasp my point, you may want to watch his campaign ad via YouTube.
