Puerto Galera

I have been to White Beach in Puerto Galera two years ago and I hope to be back there by next month but this time in Sabang. So as to maximize my next visit, I decided to make a research regarding the place. Guess what I have learned.

Sabang is the busiest beach, with a mind-boggling variety of accommodation dotted haphazardly along the shoreline, some above-average restaurants and a couple of tawdry girlie bars where single men can choose to “take out” a girl for P350 a night.

Be careful: the Manila–Batangas buses are “worked” by gangs of petty thieves who can slice open your bag and remove valuables in the blink of an eye.

I don’t know if I’ll be offended that they described Puerto Galera as a place with prostitution and robbers especially that it was written on Yahoo Travel or I’ll be glad that the writer warned the tourist of such situations. Anyway, if I am to visit a foreign place, I too would like to gather enough information both good and bad so I could take precautions and make necessary preparations.

Welcome to Puerto Galera!
