Today is Palm Sunday. The Holy Week is about to start. Naaalala ko pa yung mga pamahiin na sinusunod namin back then.. bawal maligo sa biyernes santo, bawal kumain ng karne, bawal maglaro at tumakbo dahil patay ang Diyos. Iniisip ko pa nga noong bata ako na eto ang panahon na naglalabasan ang kampon ng kadiliman dahil nga patay ang Diyos (influenced by one of the episode of shake, rattle, and roll entitled manananggal).
For some people this week is an opportunity for a vacation due to a long weekend. For us, I am hopeful that I will be returning on Monday morning when I leave the office at Wednesday afternoon (I’m keeping my fingers crossed). Pero kung ano man ang balak nyong gawin this week, ino-observe nyo man ang Holy Week or hindi, may we have the time to reflect on what Christ endured in order to redeem us. Siguro I’ll try to find time to read one of Max Lucado’s books.

Kuya,
Minsan kailangan nating makialam. Ako man ay nalulungkot.

Mabuti kang tao. Maraming nagmamahal sa iyo.

Last Saturday I attended a wedding of which both the bride and the groom are very good friends of mine. It was a good wedding.

a walk to remember
The maid of honor gave her message to the newlywed during the reception. It was a “benta” message to the bride that send us all bursting into laughter. She jokingly said,
I think both of them had their jackpot. It was a walk to be remembered by both of them and I was grateful to be the one who lit their candles.
BEST WISHES KUYA CRIS AND CHEY!
Puzzle

I have a cousin in Germany and in a child’s lingo.. he was my “favorite” then. On one family occasion we even wore the same pants, the same shoes (but different shade of color), and the same shirt pattern. Tropa talaga kami.
I even remembered wanting to send to him my puzzle but I was hesitant because it was missing a piece. But my aunt encouraged me anyway and brought it home with her in Germany.
That was 18 years ago.. the least.
not just a piece of a puzzle
One of the few valuable things I am keeping in my drawer is a piece of puzzle given to me by a mentor-friend during his 30th birthday (i think). He wrote on each piece a name of a person whom he consider as a part of his life and gave it to them as a token.
It was then that I appreciated the value of a piece of puzzle.

I could already feel that the climate is getting warmer. The lent is barely three weeks away and I hope for a lighter workload so that I could take a long day-off. Expect that I will become more irritable due to the warming weather plus my hair growing longer which I refuse to be trimmed unless I am scheduled for a job interview.
Despite all the above rantings, I am also looking forward for good things for the month of March. A good friend’s wedding, my sister’s commencement, a reflective Holy Week, a new year of friendship, and birthday celebrations. These are the things that will dampen the heat of summer.
