Happy New Month

At exactly 11:30pm on December 31, light all the candles. Each candle symbolizes various aspects of life like peace, wealth, etc. Put out the candles at 12 midnight. Arrange the candles from smallest to biggest.

Yup, I lit those candles! That was one month ago. Ambilis ng panahon. We are now one down and eleven more to go. Actually all of us in the family had a set of candles and as the instruction goes.. sabay sabay namin itong sinindihan ng 11:30pm. I don’t believe in this prosperity candles as they called it. Sabi ko nga sa kanila paano pala kung yung coloring substance na ginamit sa isang kandila caused it to melt longer… lugi!But that was a good time for me. Habang ang mga kapitbahay namin ay nagpapaputok sa labas ay nasa kusina kaming lahat watching our candles. Nagkakantyawan at nangangarap. Yes, I could say that it was one of our family’s few bonding moments and I am looking forward to lighting another one come December 31.
