FENG SHUI
ABS CBN Film Productions Inc.
Screenplay by Roy Iglesias
Directed by Chito Roño
There was a time in Filipino society when there was no questioning the choosing of dignity and pride over ill means of gaining wealth and status. It was a deed to be unfortunate than to commit crime or any such misdemeanor. But times have changed. In an era of poverty and desperation, Filipinos seem to have neglected the value of character. Although traditional, others have chosen to put their fate and fortune in items of luck. What does it take for one to realize the wrong in this?

I celebrated my birthday by cleaning my room. Tagaktak ang pawis ko. I received only a few gifts.. kakapanibago
Pero madami namang text greetings. Later that evening ay pumunta ako sa lamay ni kuya.

Emergency 9-11

It has been three years.
I was inside Ate Lanie’s carinderia when I first saw the news about the incident. At first I thought it was some kind of movie. But I saw that it was CNN with a “LIVE” text written on the corner of the screen. Pagkagulat at pagkalungkot ang naramdaman ko noon. Kahit na gusto kong matuwa when I overheard that classes may be suspended because of it e hindi ko magawa. How could I be happy with the suspension of classes when thousands or millions of people are grieving over their losses?

Ganon ba talaga ka grabe ang fiscal crisis na ito? Pati ang Christian community is trying to raise funds na for the government. Kung iisipin naman talagang mabuti.. the government already have the funds. Hindi lang nama-manage ng maayos.
Kung titingin-tingin ka sa paligid mo ay may makikita ka sigurong:
1. Ningas Cugon Projects
(government projects na nasimulan ngunit hindi natapos);
2. Monumental Projects
(projects na natapos pero di napapakinabangan);
3. Nilugaw Projects
(e.g. isang damukal na waiting sheds na may “thru the effort of…” ay hindi naman masama.. but i believe na may mas higit na importanteng proyekto kesa sa pagpapagawa ng 100 waiting shed);
4. Band-Aid Projects
(e.g. mga kalsada na halos taon taon ay kailangang aspaltuhan dahil paulit-ulit na nasisira kasi di naman talaga naa-address ang root cause.. pang-ampat lang);
5. Centennial Projects
(100 years na yata ang lumilipas bago matapos ng contractor);
6. Katipunan Projects
(mga projects na napapagkasunduan sa isang lihim na pagpupulong);
7. Feel-at-Home Attitude
(mga gamit sa government offices na inuuwi ng mga empleyado);
8. After-Four-Diet Attitude
(mga empleyado na 4:00 pa lang ay ready to go home na at galit na sa mga taong kailangan ang serbisyo nila after 4pm)
Ilan lang ito. Madami pa. Nakakalungkot. Kung may kailangan mang bigyan ng panawagan for their nationalistic spirit it should be our public officials.
